WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.

A. Safety Precautions
   (1) Make sure that the SAFETY BARRIER(S) are in position.
   (2) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is on panel 25VU to tell persons not to operate the strobe lights or the navigation lights.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position below the applicable wing-tip strobe light in zone 534 or 634.

4. Procedure
CAUTION: DO NOT TOUCH THE LAMP GLASS WITH YOUR FINGERS. THE OILS FROM YOUR SKIN WILL QUICKLY CAUSE DETERIORATION OF THE LAMP. IF YOU ACCIDENTALLY TOUCH THE LAMP GLASS, CLEAN IT WITH A LINT-FREE CLOTH.

A. Preparation for Installation
   (1) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Clean the glazing panel with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with a warm WATER - SOAPY SOLUTION.

B. Installation of the Strobe Light Flash-Tube Assembly
   (1) Install the flash tube assembly (6) and the screws (5).
   (2) Install a new AIPC 33-48-14-01-035 GASKET (4) if damaged, and replace the lens (3) and the screws (2).

   (2) Install the glazing panel (1) on the applicable wing-tip strobe light (Ref. AMM TASK 57-37-12-400-802).
