B. Get Access
   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position at the APU tail cone exhaust-area Zone 317.
   (2) Remove the lens from the tail navigation light (15LA) (Ref. AMM TASK 33-41-15-000-002).
4. Procedure
Subtask 33-48-13-960-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Replacement of the Strobe-Light Flash-Tube Assembly
WARNING: DO NOT REMOVE THE STROBE LIGHT FOR AT LEAST TEN MINUTES AFTER YOU DE-ENERGIZE THE ELECTRICAL CIRCUITS. THE HIGH VOLTAGE ELECTRICAL CURRENT IN THE CAPACITOR OF THE STROBE LIGHT IS DANGEROUS.
WARNING: DO NOT DISCONNECT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS FOR AT LEAST 2 MINUTES AFTER YOU DE-ENERGIZE THE ELECTRICAL CIRCUITS.
WARNING: BE CAREFUL IF YOU TOUCH THE STROBE LIGHT WITH THE COVER REMOVED AND THE POWER APPLIED. SOME COMPONENTS HAVE DANGEROUS VOLTAGES.
WARNING: DO NOT TOUCH THE STROBE LIGHTS FOR AT LEAST 5 MINUTES AFTER OPERATION. THE STROBE LIGHT WILL STILL BE HOT.
   (1) Remove the screws (1) and the lens (2).
   (2) Remove the gasket (3).
CAUTION: DO NOT TOUCH THE LAMP GLASS WITH YOUR FINGERS. THE OILS FROM YOUR SKIN WILL QUICKLY CAUSE DETERIORATION OF THE LAMP. IF YOU ACCIDENTALLY TOUCH THE LAMP GLASS, CLEAN IT WITH A LINT-FREE CLOTH.
   (3) Remove the screws (4) and discard the flash tube assembly (5).
   (4) Install the new AIPC 33-48-13-01-040 FLASH TUBE ASSEMBLY (5) with the screws (4).
   (5) Do an inspection of the gasket (3) for damage. If you find damage, discard the gasket (3).
   (6) Install the gasket (3), the lens (2) and the screws (1). If necessary install a new
AIPC 33-48-13-01-020 GASKET (3).

B. Close Access
   (1) Install the lens of the tail navigation light (15LA) (
Ref. AMM TASK 33-41-15-400-002).
   (2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.

C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

D. Do the test of the tail cone strobe-light (19LV)
WARNING: DO NOT LOOK DIRECTLY AT THE LIGHT FLASH DURING THE TEST. SUPPLY A COVER, OR SHIELD, TO GIVE PROTECTION FROM THE LIGHT FLASH TO PERSONS IN THE TEST AREA.
   (1) Do the operational test of the anticollision/strobe light system (Ref. AMM TASK 33-48-00-710-002).

A. Close Access
   (1) Put the system back to the serviceable condition.
   (2) Remove the access platform(s).
