WARNING:
ISOLATE THE ELECTRICAL CIRCUITS FROM THE RELATED EQUIPMENT AND THE ENVIRONMENT.
WARNING:
DO NOT TOUCH THE STROBE LIGHTS FOR AT LEAST 5 MINUTES AFTER OPERATION. THE STROBE LIGHT WILL STILL BE HOT.
WARNING:
DO NOT REMOVE THE STROBE LIGHT FOR AT LEAST TEN MINUTES AFTER YOU DE-ENERGIZE THE ELECTRICAL CIRCUITS. THE HIGH VOLTAGE ELECTRICAL CURRENT IN THE CAPACITOR OF THE STROBE LIGHT IS DANGEROUS.

B. Safety Precautions
(1) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position on panel 25VU to tell persons not to operate the strobe lights or the navigation lights.

C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(2) Make sure that switch 2LV BEACON ON-OFF on overhead panel 25VU is in the OFF position.
(3) Make sure that the STEPLADDER 1.0 M (3.3 FT) is in position below the related panel.

Subtask 33-48-12-420-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Flash Tube Assembly of the Lower Beacon/Strobe Light 6LV
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors.
(5) Put the flash tube assembly (6) on the light assembly (8).
(6) Apply Threadlocking Adhesive-- Low strength - (Material No.05BAA1) to the threads of the countersunk screws (1).
(7) Loosely install the countersunk screws (1).
(8) Tighten the countersunk screws (1) in the correct sequence.
(9) Make sure that the bung (3) is removed from the lens (4) to drain the condensation.
(10) Install the lens (4) with the seal (5):
(a) Make sure that the seal (5) is in good condition.
(b) If necessary install the new AIPC 33-48-12-02-030 SEAL (5).
(11) Loosely install the countersunk screws (2).
(12) Tighten the countersunk screws (2) in the correct sequence.
Subtask 33-48-12-420-051-GK ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(4) Connect the electrical connectors (7) to the light assembly (8). (5) Put the flash tube assembly (6) on the light assembly (8).
(6) Apply Threadlocking Adhesive-- Low strength - (Material No.05BAA1) to the threads of the countersunk screws (1).
(7) Loosely install the countersunk screws (1).
(8) Tighten the countersunk screws (1) in the correct sequence.
(9) Make sure that the bung (3) is removed from the lens (4) to drain the condensation.
(10) Install the lens (4) with the seal (5):
(a) Make sure that the seal (5) is in good condition.
(b) If necessary install the new AIPC 33-48-12-02-030 SEAL (5).
(11) Loosely install the countersunk screws (2).
(12) Tighten the countersunk screws (2) in the correct sequence.
A. Installation of the Flash Tube Assembly of the Lower Beacon/Strobe Light
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Prepare the surface of the bonding point(s)
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-803).
(4) Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors.
(6) Put the flash tube assembly (8) and the faraday cage (7) in their correct installation positions, on the light assembly (10).
(7) Make sure that the countersunk screws (2) are loosely installed.
(8) Tighten the countersunk screws (2) in the correct sequence.
(9) Do the electrical resistance measurement and the final protection of the bonding point(s)
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(10) Make sure that you remove the plug (4) from the lens (5) to drain the condensation.
(11) Install the lens (5) with the seal (6):
(a) Make sure that the seal (6) is in good condition.
(b) If necessary, install a new AIPC 33-48-12-01-030 SEAL (6).
(12) Make sure that the countersunk screws (3) are loosely installed.
(13) Tighten the countersunk screws (3) in the correct sequence.
(14) Do the electrical resistance measurement and the final protection of the bonding point(s)
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).

(3) Prepare the surface of the bonding point(s)
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-803).
(4) Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors.
CAUTION:

(5) Connect the electrical connectors (9). (6) Put the flash tube assembly (8) and the faraday cage (7) in their correct installation positions, on the light assembly (10).
(7) Make sure that the countersunk screws (2) are loosely installed.
(8) Tighten the countersunk screws (2) in the correct sequence.
(9) Do the electrical resistance measurement and the final protection of the bonding point(s)
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(10) Make sure that you remove the plug (4) from the lens (5) to drain the condensation.
(11) Install the lens (5) with the seal (6):
(a) Make sure that the seal (6) is in good condition.
(b) If necessary, install a new AIPC 33-48-12-01-030 SEAL (6).
(12) Make sure that the countersunk screws (3) are loosely installed.
(13) Tighten the countersunk screws (3) in the correct sequence.
(14) Do the electrical resistance measurement and the final protection of the bonding point(s)
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Operational Test
(1) Do the operational test of the lower beacon/strobe light (6LV) (Ref. AMM TASK 33-48-00-710-001).
