Removal of the Flash Tube Assembly of the Lower Beacon Light
WARNING:
ISOLATE THE ELECTRICAL CIRCUITS FROM THE RELATED EQUIPMENT AND THE ENVIRONMENT.
WARNING:
DO NOT TOUCH THE STROBE LIGHTS FOR AT LEAST 5 MINUTES AFTER OPERATION. THE STROBE LIGHT WILL STILL BE HOT.
WARNING:
DO NOT REMOVE THE STROBE LIGHT FOR AT LEAST TEN MINUTES AFTER YOU DE-ENERGIZE THE ELECTRICAL CIRCUITS. THE HIGH VOLTAGE ELECTRICAL CURRENT IN THE CAPACITOR OF THE STROBE LIGHT IS DANGEROUS.

D. Make sure that switch 2LV BEACON ON-OFF on overhead panel 25VU is in the OFF position.
(1) Put the STEPLADDER 1.0 M (3.3 FT) in position below the related panel.

A. Removal of the Flash Tube Assembly of the Lower Beacon/Strobe Light 6LV
(1) Remove the countersunk screws (2) from the structure (9).
(2) Remove the lens (4) and the seal (5).
(3) Remove the countersunk screws (1) from the light assembly (8).
(4) Lift the light assembly (8) until you can see the electrical connectors (7).
(6) Remove the flash tube assembly (6) from the light assembly (8).
(7) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
Subtask 33-48-12-020-052-GK ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the countersunk screws (2) from the structure (9).
(2) Remove the lens (4) and the seal (5).
(3) Remove the countersunk screws (1) from the light assembly (8).
(4) Lift the light assembly (8) until you can see the electrical connectors (7).
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(5) Disconnect the electrical connectors (7) from the light assembly (8). (6) Remove the flash tube assembly (6) from the light assembly (8).
(7) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
A. Removal of the Flash Tube Assembly of the Lower Beacon/Strobe Light
(1) Remove the countersunk screws (3) from the structure (1).
(2) Remove the lens (5) and the seal (6).
(3) Remove the countersunk screws (2) from the light assembly (10).
(4) Remove the faraday cage (7) from the light assembly (10).
(5) Pull the flash tube assembly (8) until you can see the electrical connectors (9).
(7) Remove the flash tube assembly (8) from the light assembly (10).
(8) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(1) Remove the countersunk screws (3) from the structure (1).
(2) Remove the lens (5) and the seal (6).
(3) Remove the countersunk screws (2) from the light assembly (10).
(4) Remove the faraday cage (7) from the light assembly (10).
(5) Pull the flash tube assembly (8) until you can see the electrical connectors (9).
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(6) Disconnect the electrical connectors (9). (7) Remove the flash tube assembly (8) from the light assembly (10).
(8) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
