WARNING:
ISOLATE THE ELECTRICAL CIRCUITS FROM THE RELATED EQUIPMENT AND THE ENVIRONMENT.
WARNING:
DO NOT TOUCH THE STROBE LIGHTS FOR AT LEAST 5 MINUTES AFTER OPERATION. THE STROBE LIGHT WILL STILL BE HOT.
WARNING:
DO NOT REMOVE THE STROBE LIGHT FOR AT LEAST TEN MINUTES AFTER YOU DE-ENERGIZE THE ELECTRICAL CIRCUITS. THE HIGH VOLTAGE ELECTRICAL CURRENT IN THE CAPACITOR OF THE STROBE LIGHT IS DANGEROUS.

E. Get Access
(1) Make sure that switch 2LV BEACON ON-OFF on overhead panel 25VU is in the OFF position.
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that switch 2LV BEACON ON-OFF on overhead panel 25VU is in the OFF position.
Subtask 33-48-11-420-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Flash Tube Assembly of the Upper Beacon/Strobe Light
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(4) Install the flash tube assembly (5) on the housing (2) of the upper beacon/strobe light as follows:
(a) Carefully install the electrical connectors (4) in the hole of the housing (2) of the upper beacon/strobe light.
(b) Put the flash tube assembly (5) in its correct installation position on the housing (2) of the upper beacon/strobe light.
(6) Apply Threadlocking Adhesive-- Low strength - (Material No.05BAA1) to the threads of the screws (1).
(7) Install the screws (1) and tighten them.
Subtask 33-48-11-420-054-GL ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(4) Install the flash tube assembly (5) on the housing (2) of the upper beacon/strobe light as follows:
(a) Carefully install the electrical connectors (4) in the hole of the housing (2) of the upper beacon/strobe light.
(b) Put the flash tube assembly (5) in its correct installation position on the housing (2) of the upper beacon/strobe light.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION:
REFER TO THE MATCH MARKS MADE DURING THE REMOVAL WHEN YOU CONNECT THE ELECTRICAL WIRES.
INCORRECT CONNECTION OF THE WIRES WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(5) Connect the electrical connectors (4) on the transformer (3).(6) Apply Threadlocking Adhesive-- Low strength - (Material No.05BAA1) to the threads of the screws (1).
(7) Install the screws (1) and tighten them.
A. Installation of the Flash Tube Assembly of the Upper Beacon/Strobe Light
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(4) Install the flash tube assembly (7) on the plate (2) of the upper beacon/strobe light as follows:
(a) Carefully install the electrical connectors (6) in the hole of the plate (2) of the upper beacon/strobe light.
(b) Put the flash tube assembly (7) in its correct installation position on the plate (2) of the upper beacon/strobe light.
(6) Install the transformer (5) in the housing (3).
(7) Install the screws (4) on the housing (3).
(8) Tighten the screws (4).
(9) Install the faraday cage (8) on the plate (2) of the upper beacon/strobe light.
(10) Install the housing (3) on the plate (2) of the upper beacon/strobe light.
(11) Install the screws (1) on the faraday cage (8).
(12) Tighten the screws (1).
Subtask 33-48-11-410-057-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(4) Install the flash tube assembly (7) on the plate (2) of the upper beacon/strobe light as follows:
(a) Carefully install the electrical connectors (6) in the hole of the plate (2) of the upper beacon/strobe light.
(b) Put the flash tube assembly (7) in its correct installation position on the plate (2) of the upper beacon/strobe light.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

(5) Connect the electrical connectors (6) to the transformer (5).(6) Install the transformer (5) in the housing (3).
(7) Install the screws (4) on the housing (3).
(8) Tighten the screws (4).
(9) Install the faraday cage (8) on the plate (2) of the upper beacon/strobe light.
(10) Install the housing (3) on the plate (2) of the upper beacon/strobe light.
(11) Install the screws (1) on the faraday cage (8).
(12) Tighten the screws (1).
B. Installation of the Upper Beacon/Strobe Light
(1) Install the upper beacon/strobe light (Ref. AMM TASK 33-48-11-400-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 33-48-11-400-002).

D. Operational Test
(1) Do the operational test of the upper beacon/strobe light (7LV) (Ref. AMM TASK 33-48-00-710-001).

(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(3) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
