A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) On panel 25VU make sure that the switch 3LA NAV & LOGO ON/OFF is in the OFF position.

C. Safety Precautions
   (1) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the hydraulic systems :
     (a) In the cockpit, on the HYD section of the overhead panel 40VU.
     (b) On the ground service panels of the hydraulic systems.
   (2) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in the flight compartment to tell persons not to operate the logo light.

D. Get Access
WARNING: YOU MUST PUT ON AND ATTACH A SAFETY HARNESS BEFORE YOU START WORK:
  • ON THE THS OR IN THE REAR FUSELAGE
  • ON TOP OF THE WINGS OR PYLONS.
WITHOUT A SAFETY HARNESS, YOU CAN FALL. THIS CAN KILL YOU OR CAUSE YOU INJURY.
   (1) Put on and attach the HARNESS, SAFETY before you start work in the work area.
   (2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT) in position in zone 334AB for the left hand logo light and/or zone 344AB for the right hand logo light.
4. Procedure
Subtask 33-47-00-040-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Deactivation of the Logo Light Lens (Cover)
   (1) Remove the screws (1) and the logo light lens (2) with the sealing (3).
NOTE: It is not necessary to remove the logo light lamp. You must only remove the lens of the logo light.
   (2) Clean the surface around the logo light hole with Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with warm WATER - SOAPY SOLUTION .
   (3) Dry the surface around the logo light hole with a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
   (4) Apply Adhesive Film Tape-Erosion Protective Polyurethane - 0.36mm Legacy (Material No.05RQB9) or Adhesive Film Tape-- Aluminium Foil - (Material No.05RAB9) to cover the logo light hole.
   (5) Make sure that the tape is correctly installed and has no bubbles, wrinkles or tears in it.
   (6) Let the tape cure for a minimum of 15 minutes at a minimum temperature of 15 deg.C (59.00 deg.F).
   (7) Record in the aircraft technical logbook that the logo light lens is deactivated.
     (a) If non-transparent tape is installed, do not close the circuit breakers and go directly to the step to put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
     (b) If transparent tape is installed, go to the step for closing circuit breakers.
Subtask 33-47-00-040-050-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Deactivation of the Logo Light Lens (Cover)
   (1) Remove the screws (1) and remove the logo light lens (2).
NOTE: It is not necessary to remove the logo light LED module. You must only remove the lens of the logo light.
   (2) Clean the surface around the logo light hole with Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with warm WATER - SOAPY SOLUTION .
   (3) Dry the surface around the logo light hole with a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
   (4) Apply Adhesive Film Tape-Erosion Protective Polyurethane - 0.36mm Legacy (Material No.05RQB9) or Adhesive Film Tape-- Aluminium Foil - (Material No.05RAB9) to cover the logo light hole.
   (5) Make sure that the tape is correctly installed and has no bubbles, wrinkles or tears in it.
   (6) Let the tape cure for a minimum of 15 minutes at a minimum temperature of 15 deg.C (59.00 deg.F).
   (7) Record in the aircraft technical logbook that the logo light lens is deactivated.
