A. Safety Precautions
(1) In the cockpit, on panel 25VU:

Make sure that the STROBE switch is in the OFF position.
Make sure that the NAV & LOGO switch is in the OFF position.
Make sure that the APU MASTER SW pushbutton switch is in the OFF position.
Make sure there is a warning notice to tell persons not to operate the navigation lights or the strobe lights.
Make sure there is a warning notice to tell persons not to operate the APU.

(1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position at the APU tail-cone-exhaust area.

A. Preparation for Installation
(1) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.

B. Installation of the Lamps of the Tail Navigation Light

CAUTION: DO NOT TOUCH THE LAMP GLASS WITH YOUR FINGERS. THE OILS FROM YOUR SKIN WILL QUICKLY CAUSE DETERIORATION OF THE LAMP. IF YOU ACCIDENTALLY TOUCH THE LAMP GLASS, CLEAN IT WITH A LINT-FREE CLOTH.

(1) Install the sealings (2).

If you discarded the sealings (2), install a new AIPC 33-41-15-01-080 SEALING (2).

(2) Install the lamps (3).
(3) Put the white lenses (5) in position on the tail navigation light (1) and install the clips (6).
(4) Install the sealing (4).

If you discarded the sealing (4), install a new AIPC 33-41-15-01-060 SEALING (4).

(5) Put the lens (7) in position on the tail navigation light (1).
(6) Install the screws (9) each with a sealing-ring (8).

If you discarded a sealing-ring (8), install a new AIPC 33-41-15-01-030 SEALING-RING (8).

(7) Tighten the screws (9).

(2) Remove the access platform(s).
