A. Safety Precautions
(1) Make sure that the SAFETY BARRIER(S) are in position.
(2) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is on the panel 25VU to tell persons not to operate:

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT) is in position below the applicable zone 534 or 634.
(2) Make sure that the navigation light glazing panel is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 57-37-12-000-802).

A. Preparation for Installation
(1) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area with a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
(2) Make sure that the lamp (1) and the glass (3) are clean and in the correct condition.
(3) Make sure that the gasket (2) is not damaged. If necessary, replace the AIPC 33-41-11-01-035 GASKET (2).
(4) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
Subtask 33-41-11-420-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area with a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
(2) Make sure that the lamp (1) and the glass (3) are clean and in the correct condition.
(3) Make sure that the gasket (2) is not damaged. If necessary, replace the AIPC 33-41-11-01-035 GASKET (2).
(4) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
CAUTION:
USE ONLY APPROVED LAMPS. LAMPS THAT ARE NOT APPROVED CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE NAVIGATION-LIGHT TRANSFORMER AND LAMP-HOLDER.
CAUTION:
DO NOT TOUCH THE LAMP GLASS WITH YOUR FINGERS.
THE OILS FROM YOUR SKIN WILL QUICKLY CAUSE DETERIORATION OF THE LAMP.
IF YOU ACCIDENTALLY TOUCH THE LAMP GLASS, CLEAN IT WITH A LINT-FREE CLOTH.
CAUTION:
DO NOT APPLY TOO MUCH FORCE TO THE BULB OR SOCKET CONTACTS. TOO MUCH FORCE CAN CAUSE PERMANENT DEFORMATION OF THE SOCKET, AND AS A RESULT, ARCING AND THUS BULB FAILURE.
B. Installation of the Lamp in the Wingtip Navigation-Light NOTE: This procedure is applicable for one and two-lamp wingtip navigation lights.
(1) Use a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) to hold the lamp (1). (2) Put the base of the lamp (1) into the lamp socket. Carefully push the lamp (1) and make sure that the two locating spigots engage the slots of the contact strip.
(3) Put the gasket (2) and the glass (3) in position on the navigation light and install the two clips (4).
C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
