Removal of the Cockpit Dome Light


CAUTION: DO NOT TOUCH THE LAMP GLASS WITH YOUR FINGERS. THE OILS FROM YOUR SKIN WILL QUICKLY CAUSE DETERIORATION OF THE LAMP. IF YOU ACCIDENTALLY TOUCH THE LAMP GLASS, CLEAN IT WITH A LINT-FREE CLOTH.

B. Removal of the Ceiling Panel
   (1) For the Captain dome light, remove ceiling panel 211CC (Ref. AMM TASK 25-13-41-000-001).
   (2) For the F/O dome light, remove ceiling panel 212CC (Ref. AMM TASK 25-13-41-000-001).
4. Procedure
Subtask 33-12-11-020-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Lamp
   (1) Remove the defective lamp (10).
Subtask 33-12-11-020-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Removal of the Dome Light Box
   (1) Disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the socket (2).
   (2) Remove the four screws (4) and washers (3).
   (3) Put a CAP - BLANKING on the disconnected electrical connector (1) and on the socket (2).
   (4) Remove the dome light box.

C. Removal of the Socket
   (1) Remove the lamp (10).
   (2) Remove the two screws (14) and the two screws (5) and nuts (15) that attach the plate (6) to the defective socket (9). Hold the plate (6) during the removal.
   (3) Remove the plate (6).
   (4) Remove the screw (12), washer (13) and power supply cable (11).
   (5) Remove the nut (7) and washer (8).
   (6) Remove the defective socket (9).
