(2) On the panel 402VU, set the A/SKID & N/W STRG switch to ON.
(3) Measure the secondary voltages U1 and U2.
Make sure that :
(4) If U1 is not equal to U2 plus or minus 0.02 V, do these steps:
(a) Use a SPATULA - NON METALLIC to remove the sealant:
(c) Turn the worm screw (12) to get:
(d) TORQUE the screws (9) to between 0.25 and 0.21 m.daN (22.12 and 18.58 lbf.in )

(e) Make sure that U1 = U2 plus or minus 0.02V. If not, do the adjustment again.
(5) On the panel 402VU, set the A/SKID & N/W STRG switch to OFF.
(6) Remove the F26792000 SENSOR-VOLTAGE TEST or F26792000-1 SENSOR-VOLTAGE TEST (13).
(7) Connect the electrical connector (8) to the sensor box (7).
(8) On the panel 402VU, set the A/SKID & N/W STRG switch to ON.

WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT ALL THE CIRCUITS IN MAINTENANCE ARE ISOLATED BEFORE YOU SUPPLY ELECTRICAL POWER TO THE AIRCRAFT. UNWANTED ELECTRICAL POWER CAN BE DANGEROUS.
CAUTION:
IF THE SENSOR BOX HAS P/N E21336000, NEVER REMOVE THE SENSOR FROM THE GEARBOX. THE SENSOR AND THE GEARBOX ARE AN ASSEMBLY THAT YOU MUST NOT DISASSEMBLE ON THE AIRCRAFT.
IF YOU REMOVE THE SENSOR FROM THE GEARBOX:

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) In the cockpit, on the panel 400VU, make sure that the warning notice is in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear control lever.
(2) On the CAPT and F/O NWS handwheels and on the brake pedals, make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to operate them.
(3) Make sure that the SAFETY BARRIER(S) are in position.
(4) Make sure that the aircraft is lifted at the forward jacking point (Ref. AMM TASK 07-11-00-581-003).
(5) On the panel 402VU, set the A/SKID & N/W STRG switch to OFF.

Subtask 32-51-19-560-051-A
A. Preparation of the Replacement Component
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Clean the attachment hardware with Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Petroleum Based - (Material No.08BBB1) and dry with filtered compressed air.
(3) Manually turn the pinion (6). Make sure that it turns without friction point.
(4) Apply Synthetic Oil base Grease-General Purpose Clay Thickened - (Material No.03GBB1) to the pinion (6).
Subtask 32-51-19-820-051-A (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.

B. Adjustment of the Electrical 0 degree Position of the Sensor Box
(1) Loosen the knob (11) to release the pushrod (10).
(2) Connect the F26792000 SENSOR-VOLTAGE TEST or F26792000-1 SENSOR-VOLTAGE TEST (13) between the connector (8) and the sensor box (7).
(3) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(4) On the panel 402VU, set the A/SKID & N/W STRG switch to ON.
(5) Connect a VOLTMETER - AC, 0-20 V MIN, 0,001 V, 50 TO 2000 HTZ to the SECONDARY VOLTAGE connections on the F26792000 SENSOR-VOLTAGE TEST or F26792000-1 SENSOR-VOLTAGE TEST (13).
(6) On the F26792000 SENSOR-VOLTAGE TEST or F26792000-1 SENSOR-VOLTAGE TEST (13) set the selector switch to U1 and record U1. Then set the selector switch to U2 and record U2.
(7) Turn the pinion (6) until:
(8) When U1 = U2 plus or minus 0.01 V, push the pushrod (10) and hold it in the pushed position to prevent rotation of the pinion (6).
(10) Disconnect the F26792000 SENSOR-VOLTAGE TEST or F26792000-1 SENSOR-VOLTAGE TEST (13) from the sensor box (7).
Subtask 32-51-19-420-052-A (1) Loosen the knob (11) to release the pushrod (10).
(2) Connect the F26792000 SENSOR-VOLTAGE TEST or F26792000-1 SENSOR-VOLTAGE TEST (13) between the connector (8) and the sensor box (7).
(3) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(4) On the panel 402VU, set the A/SKID & N/W STRG switch to ON.
(5) Connect a VOLTMETER - AC, 0-20 V MIN, 0,001 V, 50 TO 2000 HTZ to the SECONDARY VOLTAGE connections on the F26792000 SENSOR-VOLTAGE TEST or F26792000-1 SENSOR-VOLTAGE TEST (13).
(6) On the F26792000 SENSOR-VOLTAGE TEST or F26792000-1 SENSOR-VOLTAGE TEST (13) set the selector switch to U1 and record U1. Then set the selector switch to U2 and record U2.
(7) Turn the pinion (6) until:

(8) When U1 = U2 plus or minus 0.01 V, push the pushrod (10) and hold it in the pushed position to prevent rotation of the pinion (6).
NOTE: When you lock the pinion (6) with the pushrod (10), the voltage value U1/U2 can change by more than plus or minus 0.01 V. Ignore this, but the value must be less than 0.045 V.
(9) On the panel 402VU, set the A/SKID & N/W STRG switch to OFF. (10) Disconnect the F26792000 SENSOR-VOLTAGE TEST or F26792000-1 SENSOR-VOLTAGE TEST (13) from the sensor box (7).
C. Installation of the Sensor Box (7)
(1) Make sure that the spacers (5) are installed on the sensor box (7).
(2) Install the sensor box (7) on the nose landing gear.
(3) Install the springs (4), the bushes (3), the washers (2) and the screws (1). Tighten the screws (1).
(4) Release the pushrod (10).
(5) TORQUE the screws (1) to between 0.4 and 0.35 m.daN (35.40 and 30.97 lbf.in )

(6) Turn the knob (11) to lock the pushrod (10).
(7) Safety the knob (11) with14QFB1 Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy - .
Subtask 32-51-19-220-052-A (1) Make sure that the spacers (5) are installed on the sensor box (7).
(2) Install the sensor box (7) on the nose landing gear.
(3) Install the springs (4), the bushes (3), the washers (2) and the screws (1). Tighten the screws (1).

D. Check of the Electrical 0 degree Position - YOU WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SENSOR BOX
- THE ADJUSTMENT OF THE SENSOR BOX WILL NO LONGER BE CORRECT.
NOTE: When the shock absorber is fully extended, the NLG is automatically in the center position (the nose wheel steering is in the zero position).
(1) Connect the F26792000 SENSOR-VOLTAGE TEST or F26792000-1 SENSOR-VOLTAGE TEST (13) on the sensor box (7). (2) On the panel 402VU, set the A/SKID & N/W STRG switch to ON.
(3) Measure the secondary voltages U1 and U2.
Make sure that :

(4) If U1 is not equal to U2 plus or minus 0.02 V, do these steps:
(a) Use a SPATULA - NON METALLIC to remove the sealant:
- from the areas identified E
- from the housing of the worm screw (12).
NOTE: Do not cause damage to the surface protections of these parts.
(b) Loosen the screws (9) to release the sensor. (c) Turn the worm screw (12) to get:

(d) TORQUE the screws (9) to between 0.25 and 0.21 m.daN (22.12 and 18.58 lbf.in )
. (e) Make sure that U1 = U2 plus or minus 0.02V. If not, do the adjustment again.
(5) On the panel 402VU, set the A/SKID & N/W STRG switch to OFF.
(6) Remove the F26792000 SENSOR-VOLTAGE TEST or F26792000-1 SENSOR-VOLTAGE TEST (13).
(7) Connect the electrical connector (8) to the sensor box (7).
(8) On the panel 402VU, set the A/SKID & N/W STRG switch to ON.
E. Apply the Sealant
(1) Apply a layer of Polysulfide Sealant-Fuel Tank Quick Curing - (Material No.06ABF1) on the areas identified E.
(2) Fill the housing of the worm screw (12) with Polysulfide Sealant-Fuel Tank Quick Curing - (Material No.06ABF1) .

(1) Do a functional test of the nose wheel steering with the handwheel (Ref. AMM TASK 32-51-00-720-003).
