Removal of the Nose Wheel Steering Feedback Sensor P/N C24763000

MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.

MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE FLIGHT CONTROL SURFACES ARE CLEAR BEFORE YOU PRESSURIZE/DEPRESSURIZE A HYDRAULIC SYSTEM.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE CONTROLS AGREE WITH THE POSITION OF THE ITEMS THEY OPERATE BEFORE YOU PRESSURIZE A HYDRAULIC SYSTEM. UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF HYDRAULICALLY OPERATED ITEMS CAN CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) In the cockpit, on the panel 400VU, put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear control lever.
(2) On the steering handwheels (CAPT and F/O) and on the brake pedals, put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate them.
(3) Put the SAFETY BARRIER(S) in position.

A. Removal of the Sensor
(1) Disconnect the electrical connector (6) from the sensor (5).
(2) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(3) Remove the lockwire and the screws (4).
(4) Remove the sensor (5).
(5) Remove and discard the packing (7).
(1) Disconnect the electrical connector (6) from the sensor (5).
(2) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(3) Remove the lockwire and the screws (4).
(4) Remove the sensor (5).
(5) Remove and discard the packing (7).
