Removal of the Nose Wheel Steering Feedback Sensor Box P/N E21336000
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT ALL THE CIRCUITS IN MAINTENANCE ARE ISOLATED BEFORE YOU SUPPLY ELECTRICAL POWER TO THE AIRCRAFT. UNWANTED ELECTRICAL POWER CAN BE DANGEROUS.
CAUTION:
IF THE SENSOR BOX HAS P/N E21336000, NEVER REMOVE THE SENSOR FROM THE GEARBOX. THE SENSOR AND THE GEARBOX ARE AN ASSEMBLY THAT YOU MUST NOT DISASSEMBLE ON THE AIRCRAFT.
IF YOU REMOVE THE SENSOR FROM THE GEARBOX:
1. Reason for the Job- YOU WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SENSOR BOX
- THE ADJUSTMENT OF THE SENSOR BOX WILL NO LONGER BE CORRECT.
Do this procedure when you have a sensor box P/N E21336000 installed on the NLG.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) In the cockpit, on the panel 400VU, put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear control lever.
(2) On the CAPT and F/O NWS handwheels and on the brake pedals, put warning notices in position to tell persons not to operate them.
(3) Put SAFETY BARRIER(S) in position.

C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Jack up the front of the aircraft (Ref. AMM TASK 07-11-00-581-003).
4. Procedure(1) Jack up the front of the aircraft (Ref. AMM TASK 07-11-00-581-003).
NOTE: When the shock absorber is fully extended the NLG is automatically in the center position (the nose wheel steering is in the zero position).
(2) On the panel 402VU LANDING GEAR CTL & IND PN, set the A/SKID & N/W STRG switch to ON. Subtask 32-51-19-020-053-A
A. Removal of the Sensor Box
(1) Disconnect the electrical connector (8) from the sensor box (7).
(2) Put CAP - BLANKING on the disconnected electrical connectors.
(3) Remove the screws (1), the washers (2), the bushes (3) and the springs (4).
(4) Carefully remove the sensor box (7) with the spacers (5) from the nose landing gear.
(1) Disconnect the electrical connector (8) from the sensor box (7).
(2) Put CAP - BLANKING on the disconnected electrical connectors.
(3) Remove the screws (1), the washers (2), the bushes (3) and the springs (4).
(4) Carefully remove the sensor box (7) with the spacers (5) from the nose landing gear.
