A. Safety Precautions
   (1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
   (2) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position:
  • In the cockpit, on the right center instrument-panel 400VU to tell persons not to operate the landing gear
  • In the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the nosewheel steering or the rudder.

4. Procedure
Subtask 32-51-12-960-050-A
A. Replacement of the PARKING BRAKE Indicator-Light (Lamp type Light)
   (1) Disconnect the electrical connector (6) from the Nose Wheel Steering (N/WS) deactivation electrical-box (1).
   (2) Put a CAP - BLANKING on the electrical connector (6).
   (3) Remove the indicator light cap (3).
   (4) Remove and discard the PARKING BRAKE indicator-light (4) from the indicator light socket (2).
   (5) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (6) Do an inspection of the indicator light socket (2).
     (a) If you find corrosion, do the steps that follow:
       1 Remove the N/WS deactivation electrical-box (1) (Ref. AMM TASK 32-51-12-000-001).
       2 Send the N/WS deactivation electrical-box (1) to the workshop for repair.
       3 Install the serviceable N/WS deactivation electrical-box (1) (Ref. AMM TASK 32-51-12-400-001).
     (b) If you do not find corrosion, do the steps that follow:
       1 Install a new AIPC 32-51-12-01-080 PARKING BRAKE INDICATOR-LIGHT (4) on the N/WS deactivation electrical-box (1).
       2 Install the indicator light cap (3).
       3 Remove the CAP - BLANKING from the electrical connector (6).
       4 Connect the electrical connector (6) to the N/WS deactivation electrical-box (1).

C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

D. Functional Test of the PARKING BRAKE Indicator Light
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(
Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (2) Do this test:
ACTION
RESULT
1.On the electrical box (1), push and hold the LIGHT TEST pushbutton switch (5).
  • On the electrical box (1), the PARKING BRAKE indicator light (4) comes on.
2.On the electrical box (1), release the LIGHT TEST pushbutton switch (5).
  • On the electrical box (1), the PARKING BRAKE indicator light (4) goes off.
   (3) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).

A. Removal of the Equipment
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (3) Remove the SAFETY BARRIER(S).
