A. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

4. Procedure
Subtask 32-51-11-420-050-A
A. Installation of the Transmitter (8)
   (1) Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors.
   (2) Connect the electrical connector (9) to the transmitter unit (8).
   (3) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
   (4) Put the unit (8) in position in its housing.
   (5) Install and tighten the screws (7).

B. Installation of the Cover of Panel 19VU (18VU) (for P/N 7XXTS series)
   (1) Put the cover (4) in position and close the fasteners (1).
   (2) Install the washers (6) and screws (5). Tighten the screws (5).
   (3) Install the washer (11) and screw (10). Tighten the screw (10).
   (4) Install the washer (12) and screw (13). Tighten the screw (13).
   (5) Release the lock (2) and install the handle (3) on the transmitter unit (8).

NOTE: During the installation of the handle (3) on the transmitter unit (8), do not push the pedal disconnection pushbutton-switch and make sure that the handle is correctly engaged against its mechanical stop.

C. Installation of the Cover of Panel 19VU (18VU) (for P/N 322200 series)
   (1) Put the cover (4) in position and close the fasteners (1).
   (2) Install the washers (6) and screws (5). Tighten the screws (5).
   (3) Install the washer (11) and screw (10). Tighten the screw (10).
   (4) Install the washer (12) and screw (13). Tighten the screw (13).
   (5) Install the handle (3) on the transmitter unit (8).

NOTE: During the installation of the handle (3) on the transmitter unit (8), do not push the pedal disconnection pushbutton-switch and make sure that the handle is correctly engaged against its mechanical stop.
   (6) Install the two grub screws (2) on the handle (3).
   (7) TORQUE the two grub screws (2) to between 6.82 and 5.58 lbf.in (0.08 and 0.06 m.daN ) T.

E. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

   (1) Do the functional test of the nose wheel steering with the CFDS (Ref. AMM TASK 32-51-00-720-007).

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
