Installation of the Parking-Brake Electrical Control-Valve

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(2) Make sure that the right MLG door is open (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is in position.
(4) Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002).
(5) Make sure that the alternate brake system is depressurized.
(6) Make sure that the PTU isolation coupling is disconnected (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
(7) Make sure a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:
(9) Make sure that the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) is in position below the parking-brake electrical control-valve (7).
Subtask 32-45-53-865-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.
(1) Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002). (2) Make sure that the right MLG door is open (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is in position.
(4) Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002).
(5) Make sure that the alternate brake system is depressurized.
(6) Make sure that the PTU isolation coupling is disconnected (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
(7) Make sure a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:
- on the panel 40VU in the cockpit
- on the ground service panel of the Yellow hydraulic system.
(9) Make sure that the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) is in position below the parking-brake electrical control-valve (7).

A. Preparation of the Replacement Component
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(4) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(5) Apply the Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the threads of the hydraulic pipe connectors (2), (3) and (4).
(6) Apply the Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) to the threads of the bolts (9).
(7) Apply Polysulfide Sealant_General Purpose Brushable - (Material No.06AAA1) to the component interface.
Subtask 32-45-53-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(4) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.

(6) Apply the Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) to the threads of the bolts (9).
(7) Apply Polysulfide Sealant_General Purpose Brushable - (Material No.06AAA1) to the component interface.
B. Installation of the Parking-Brake Electrical Control-Valve
(1) Put the parking-brake electrical control-valve (7) in its installation position.
(2) Install the bonding lead (1), the washer (8) and the bolt (9) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(3) Install the remaining washers (8) and bolts (9).
(4) TORQUE the bolts (9) to between 1.06 and 0.82 m.daN (93.81 and 72.57 lbf.in )
.
(5) Make sure that the connectors of the hydraulic pipes (2), (3) and (4) are clean and in the correct condition.
(6) Connect the hydraulic pipes (2), (3) and (4) to the parking-brake electrical control-valve (7).
(7) TORQUE the connector of the hydraulic pipe (2) to between 1.7 and 1.5 m.daN (12.54 and 11.06 lbf.ft )
.
(8) TORQUE the connector of the hydraulic pipes (3) and (4) to between 5.9 and 5.4 m.daN (43.51 and 39.82 lbf.ft )
.
(9) Identify the tightened union nuts with a red line
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
(10) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(11) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(12) Connect the electrical connectors (6) to the parking-brake electrical control-valve (7).
Subtask 32-45-53-865-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put the parking-brake electrical control-valve (7) in its installation position.
(2) Install the bonding lead (1), the washer (8) and the bolt (9) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(3) Install the remaining washers (8) and bolts (9).
(4) TORQUE the bolts (9) to between 1.06 and 0.82 m.daN (93.81 and 72.57 lbf.in )
. (5) Make sure that the connectors of the hydraulic pipes (2), (3) and (4) are clean and in the correct condition.
(6) Connect the hydraulic pipes (2), (3) and (4) to the parking-brake electrical control-valve (7).
(7) TORQUE the connector of the hydraulic pipe (2) to between 1.7 and 1.5 m.daN (12.54 and 11.06 lbf.ft )
. (8) TORQUE the connector of the hydraulic pipes (3) and (4) to between 5.9 and 5.4 m.daN (43.51 and 39.82 lbf.ft )
. (9) Identify the tightened union nuts with a red line
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
(10) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(11) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(12) Connect the electrical connectors (6) to the parking-brake electrical control-valve (7).
NOTE: You can interchange the connection of the electrical connectors (6) to the parking-brake electrical control-valve (7). The two configurations are permitted.
C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

D. Preparation for Test
(1) Connect the PTU isolation coupling (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-002).
(2) Bleed the alternate brake system (Ref. AMM TASK 32-43-00-870-002).
(3) If necessary, fill the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system to the correct level (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001).
Subtask 32-45-53-710-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Connect the PTU isolation coupling (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-002).
(2) Bleed the alternate brake system (Ref. AMM TASK 32-43-00-870-002).
(3) If necessary, fill the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system to the correct level (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001).
E. Test
(1) Do an operational test of the parking brake system (Ref. AMM TASK 32-45-00-710-001).
(2) Make sure that there is no hydraulic fluid leakage from the parking-brake electrical control-valve (7). Leaks are not permitted.
5. Close-up(1) Do an operational test of the parking brake system (Ref. AMM TASK 32-45-00-710-001).
(2) Make sure that there is no hydraulic fluid leakage from the parking-brake electrical control-valve (7). Leaks are not permitted.
Subtask 32-45-53-410-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
(1) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) to the heads of the bolts (9).
(2) Remove the container.
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
(5) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(6) Close the right MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
(7) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
(1) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) to the heads of the bolts (9).
(2) Remove the container.
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
(5) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(6) Close the right MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
(7) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
