Installation of the Park Brake - Pressure Switch

3. Job Set-up
Subtask 32-45-17-860-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
   (2) Make sure that the PTU isolation coupling is disconnected (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
   (3) Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002).
   (4) Make sure that the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
   (5) Make sure that the right MLG door is open (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
   (6) Make sure that the CONTAINER 2 L (0.53 USGAL) is in position below the pressure switch (4).
   (7) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is in position.

C. Safety Precautions
   (1) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:
  • On panel 40VU in the cockpit,
  • On the ground service panel of the Yellow hydraulic system.
4. Procedure
Subtask 32-45-17-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Park Brake-Pressure Switch 86GG
   (1) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
   (2) Make sure that the hydraulic line end-fittings are serviceable.
   (3) Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002).
   (4) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the new packing (11) and to the threads of the park brake-pressure switch (4).
   (5) Install the new AIPC 32-45-03-03-340 PACKING (11) on the park brake-pressure switch (4).
   (6) Install the park brake-pressure switch (4) in the union (1).
   (7) TORQUE the park brake-pressure switch (4) to between 7.95 and 7.85 m.daN (58.63 and 57.89 lbf.ft )
T.
   (8) Put the bonding strap (8) in position on the clamp (9) and install the:
   (9) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
   (10) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE BONDING STRAP(S) IS(ARE) CONNECTED BEFORE YOU CONNECT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR(S).
   (11) Install the electrical connector (5).
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
   (12) Safety the park brake-pressure switch (4) with 14QFB1Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy - (10).

B. Preparation for Test
   (1) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (2) Connect the PTU isolation coupling (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-002).

C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

D. Bleeding of the Braking System
   (1) Bleed the high-pressure alternate braking system (Ref. AMM TASK 32-43-00-870-002).

E. Test
   (1) Do the operational check of the parking brake system (Ref. AMM TASK 32-45-00-710-001).
   (2) Do the operational check of the alternate braking with anti skid (Ref. AMM TASK 32-43-00-710-001).
   (3) Make sure that there is no hydraulic fluid leakage from the dual shuttle valve 2578GM and the pressure switch (1).
5. Close-up
Subtask 32-45-17-410-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
   (1) Apply corrosion protection to the heads of the bolts, the connectors and the adjacent areas of the pressure switch (Ref. AMM TASK 51-75-13-916-002).
   (2) Remove the CONTAINER.
   (3) Remove the access platform(s).
   (4) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (5) Close the right MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
   (6) If necessary fill the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system to the correct level (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001).
   (7) De-energize the ground service network (Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-862-001).
   (8) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
