3. Job Set-up
Subtask 32-44-19-941-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Safety Precautions
   (1) Make sure that the SAFETY BARRIER(S) are in position.
   (2) Make sure that the ground safety locks are installed on the landing gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
   (3) On panel 400VU:
  • Make sure that the landing-gear control-lever 6GA is in the DOWN position
  • Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear.
   (4) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position on the ground service connection (to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow and Green Hydraulic systems).

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) is below the applicable false rear spar, at zone 571(671).
   (2) Make sure that the isolation coupling of the PTU is disconnected (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
   (3) Make sure that the Yellow and Green hydraulic systems have been depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
   (4) Make sure that the wheel chocks are in position.
   (5) On panel 110VU, make sure that the PARK BRK control-switch is in the OFF position.
   (6) On panel 402VU, make sure that the A/SKID & N/W STRG switch is in the OFF position.
   (7) Make sure you have operated the brake pedals until the pressure in the brake accumulator of the Yellow hydraulic system is at zero.
   (8) Make sure that the applicable hydraulic reservoirs have been depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).

4. Procedure
Subtask 32-44-19-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Preparation for Installation
   (1) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
   (4) Lubricate the new AIPC 32-44-19-01-010 PACKING (1) with Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) .
   (5) Remove the blanking plugs from the hydraulic openings of the pressure transducer (4) and the alternate-brake manifold (5).

B. Installation of the Pressure Transducer
   (1) Install the new packing (1) on the pressure transducer (4).
   (2) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) to the threads of the bolts (2).
   (3) Install the pressure transducer (4) with the bolts (2).
   (4) TORQUE the bolts (2) to between 0.45 and 0.35 m.daN (39.82 and 30.97 lbf.in ) T.
   (5) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
   (6) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
   (7) Connect the electrical connector (3).

E. Bleed the Brake System
   (1) Bleed the alternate brake system (Ref. AMM TASK 32-43-00-870-002).
   (2) Use a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) to remove unwanted hydraulic fluid.

F. Test
   (1) Do an operational test of the alternate brake system (Ref. AMM TASK 32-43-00-710-001).
   (2) Make sure that there is no hydraulic leak at the interface of the alternate-brake manifold and the pressure transducer (4).

A. Removal of Equipment
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Remove the SAFETY BARRIER(S).
   (3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (4) Remove the access platform(s).
   (5) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
