Installation of the Charging Valve
WARNING:
PUT THE SAFETY DEVICES AND THE WARNING NOTICES IN POSITION BEFORE YOU START A TASK ON OR NEAR:
- THE FLIGHT CONTROLS
- THE FLIGHT CONTROL SURFACES
- THE LANDING GEAR AND THE RELATED DOORS

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the PTU isolation coupling is disconnected (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
(2) Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002).
Subtask 32-44-13-865-051-A (1) Make sure that the PTU isolation coupling is disconnected (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
(2) Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002).
B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

(1) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:

- on the panel 40VU in the cockpit,
- on the ground service panel of the Yellow hydraulic system.

A. Preparation for Installation
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.

B. Installation of the Charging Valve 2586GM
(1) Remove the PLUG - BLANKING from the adapter (6).
(2) Install the new AIPC 29-14-14-01-010 O-RING (5) on the charging valve (3).
(3) Install the charging valve (3) in the adapter (6).
(4) TORQUE the body (4) to between 1.54 and 1.42 m.daN (11.36 and 10.47 lbf.ft )

(6) Fill the accumulator (1) with nitrogen (Ref. AMM TASK 12-14-32-614-002).
(7) Use Testing Medium-Leak Detection - Oxygen System (Material No.14CCB6) and do the leak check of the charging valve (3) and the adapter (6) of the accumulator (1).
Subtask 32-44-13-865-052-A (1) Remove the PLUG - BLANKING from the adapter (6).
(2) Install the new AIPC 29-14-14-01-010 O-RING (5) on the charging valve (3).
(3) Install the charging valve (3) in the adapter (6).
(4) TORQUE the body (4) to between 1.54 and 1.42 m.daN (11.36 and 10.47 lbf.ft )
. WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(5) Safety the body (4) to the adapter (6) with (6) Fill the accumulator (1) with nitrogen (Ref. AMM TASK 12-14-32-614-002).
(7) Use Testing Medium-Leak Detection - Oxygen System (Material No.14CCB6) and do the leak check of the charging valve (3) and the adapter (6) of the accumulator (1).
C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

A. Close Access
(1) Connect the PTU isolation coupling (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-002).
(2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(5) Close the right MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
(6) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
(1) Connect the PTU isolation coupling (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-002).
(2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(5) Close the right MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
(6) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
