Removal of the Charging Valve
WARNING:
PUT THE SAFETY DEVICES AND THE WARNING NOTICES IN POSITION BEFORE YOU START A TASK ON OR NEAR:
- THE FLIGHT CONTROLS
- THE FLIGHT CONTROL SURFACES
- THE LANDING GEAR AND THE RELATED DOORS
- COMPONENTS THAT MOVE.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT ALL THE CIRCUITS IN MAINTENANCE ARE ISOLATED BEFORE YOU SUPPLY ELECTRICAL POWER TO THE AIRCRAFT. UNWANTED ELECTRICAL POWER CAN BE DANGEROUS.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Depressurize the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002).
(2) Push the pressure release button on the pressure relief valve 3067GM to depressurize the alternate brake system.
(3) Make sure that the pressure on the gauge 2585GM decreases to the fill pressure of the accumulator 2582GM (Ref. AMM TASK 32-44-11-200-001).
Subtask 32-44-13-860-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Depressurize the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002).
(2) Push the pressure release button on the pressure relief valve 3067GM to depressurize the alternate brake system.
(3) Make sure that the pressure on the gauge 2585GM decreases to the fill pressure of the accumulator 2582GM (Ref. AMM TASK 32-44-11-200-001).
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Depressurize the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002).
(2) Set the Anti-skid and Nose Wheel switch to OFF.
(3) Push the pressure release button on the pressure relief valve 3067GM to depressurize the alternate brake system.
(4) Make sure that the pressure on the gauge 2585GM decreases to the fill pressure of the accumulator 2582GM (Ref. AMM TASK 32-44-11-200-001).
Subtask 32-44-13-010-050-A Subtask 32-44-13-869-050-A (1) Depressurize the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002).

C. Disconnection of the Isolation Coupling
(1) Disconnect the PTU isolation coupling (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position.

E. Safety Precautions
(1) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:

- on the panel 40VU in the cockpit,
- on the ground service panel of the Yellow hydraulic system.

A. Removal of the Charging Valve 2586GM
(b) Install the cap (2) on the charging valve (3).
(c) Loosen the body (4) and remove the charging valve (3) from the adapter (6).
(d) Remove and discard the O-ring (5).
(e) Put a PLUG - BLANKING in the open port of the adapter (6).
WARNING:
USE THE CORRECT BREATHING EQUIPMENT. THE GAS IS POISONOUS.
(1) Remove the cap (2) and carefully turn the charging valve (3) to the open position to depressurize the accumulator (1). WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(a) Remove and discard the lockwire from the body (4) and the adapter (6). (b) Install the cap (2) on the charging valve (3).
(c) Loosen the body (4) and remove the charging valve (3) from the adapter (6).
(d) Remove and discard the O-ring (5).
(e) Put a PLUG - BLANKING in the open port of the adapter (6).
