WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE FLIGHT CONTROL SAFETY-LOCKS AND THE WARNING NOTICES ARE IN POSITION.
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.

3. Job Set-up
Subtask 32-43-32-941-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Safety Precautions
   (1) Make sure that the SAFETY BARRIER(S) are in position.
   (2) Make sure that the ground safety locks are installed on the landing gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
   (3) On the panel 400VU:
  • make sure that the landing-gear control-lever 6GA is in the DOWN position
  • make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear.
   (4) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) is below the applicable false rear spar, at zone 571(671).
   (2) Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic system has been depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
   (3) Make sure that the pressure in the brake accumulator of the Yellow hydraulic system is at zero.
   (4) Make sure that the isolation coupling of the PTU is disconnected (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).

A. Preparation for Installation
   (1) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.

B. Installation of the Alternate Brake Manifold Filter
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
   (1) Install the new AIPC 32-43-31-03-110 PACKING (4) and the new AIPC 32-43-31-03-120 BACK-UP RING (5) onto the new AIPC 32-43-31-03-100 FILTER (3).
   (2) Install the filter (3) in the manifold.
   (3) Install the new AIPC 32-43-31-03-090 PACKING (2) on the plug (1).
   (4) Install the plug (1) and TORQUE to between 4.0 and 3.85 m.daN (29.50 and 28.39 lbf.ft ) T.
   (5) Safety the plug (1) with 14QFB1Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy -.

D. Preparation for Test
   (1) Connect the isolation coupling of the PTU (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-002).
   (2) Bleed the alternate brake system (Ref. AMM TASK 32-43-00-870-002).
   (3) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.

E. Test
   (1) Do an operational test of the alternate brake system (Ref. AMM TASK 32-43-00-710-001).
   (2) Make sure that there are no leaks from the plug (1).
   (3) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) between the plug (1) and the manifold body.

A. Removal of Equipment
   (1) Remove the SAFETY BARRIER(S).
   (2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (3) Remove the access platform(s).
   (4) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
