A. Safety Precautions
(1) Make sure that the SAFETY BARRIER(S) are in position.
(2) Make sure that the ground safety locks are installed on the landing gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
(3) On the panel 400VU:

make sure that the landing-gear control-lever 6GA is in the DOWN position
make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear.

(4) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) is below the applicable false spar at the alternate-brake servovalve manifold.
(2) Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic system has been depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(3) Make sure that the pressure in the brake accumulator of the Yellow hydraulic system is at zero.
(4) Make sure that the isolation coupling of the PTU is disconnected (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).

A. Preparation for Installation
(1) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.

B. Installation of the Alternate-Brake Servovalve Manifold Filter

Alternate-Brake Servovalve Manifold Filter Detail ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

(1) Install the new AIPC 32-43-31-02-230 PACKING (5) on the new AIPC 32-43-31-02-220 FILTER (4).
(2) Install the filter (4) in the manifold.
(3) Install the S16-0609-0872 BULLET SEAL on the AIPC 32-43-31-02-200 PLUG (1).
(4) Install the new AIPC 32-43-31-02-215 RETAINER (2) and the new AIPC 32-43-31-02-210 PACKING (3) on the plug (1).
(5) Remove the S16-0609-0872 BULLET SEAL from the plug (1).
(6) Install the plug (1) and TORQUE to between 10.5 and 10.0 m.daN (77.43 and 73.75 lbf.ft )

(7) Safety the plug (1) with 14QFB1Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy -.

(1) Do an operational test of the alternate brake system (Ref. AMM TASK 32-43-00-710-001).
(2) Make sure that there are no hydraulic leaks from the plug (1).

A. Removal of Equipment
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the SAFETY BARRIER(S).
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
(5) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
