Subtask 32-43-31-941-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Safety Precautions
(1) Put the SAFETY BARRIER(S) in position.
(2) Make sure that the ground safety locks are installed on the landing gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
(3) On the panel 400VU:

make sure that the landing-gear control-lever 6GA is in the DOWN position
put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear.

(4) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) on the ground service connection to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic system has been depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(2) Operate the brake pedals until the pressure in the brake accumulator of the Yellow hydraulic system is at zero.
(3) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) below the applicable false rear spar at the alternate-brake servovalve manifold.
(4) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the manifold.
(5) Disconnect the isolation coupling of the Power Transfer Unit (PTU) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).

WARNING: DO NOT GET THE FLUID ON YOUR SKIN OR IN YOUR EYES. IF YOU DO:

FLUSH IT AWAY WITH CLEAN WATER
GET MEDICAL AID.

WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE FLUID DOES NOT STAY ON THE AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE. IF THE FLUID GETS ON THE AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE, WASH IT OFF IMMEDIATELY WITH SOAP AND WATER.

(1) Remove and discard the lockwire from the plug (1) and then remove the plug (1).
(2) Remove and discard the retainer (2) and the packing (3) from the plug (1).
(3) Carefully remove and discard the filter (4) and the packing (5) from the manifold.
