B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Open the Main Landing Gear (MLG) doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
   (2) Put the access platform in position.
   (3) Depressurize the Yellow Hydraulic System (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002).

C. Remove the belly fairing panel 148FB, (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-000-001).

D. Safety Precautions
   (1) Put the warning notices in position to tell persons not to pressurize the yellow hydraulic system:
  • on the panel 40VU in the cockpit
  • on the ground service panel of the yellow hydraulic system.
   (2) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.

4. Procedure

A. Preparation for Inspection
F Inspection for Corrosion ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
   (1) Cut and discard the safety wire (5).
   (2) Remove the screws (4), (6) and (7), and the washers (3).
   (3) Carefully remove the cover (2) from the BDDV 2577GM (1).
   (4) Do the Inspection for Corrosion
     (a) Use a strong flashlight and inspection mirror and examine the BDDV 2577GM (1).
     (b) If no corrosion is found, do step 4. A. (5) (a).
     (c) No corrosion is permitted on:
     (d) If light corrosion is found on:
  • The support (11)
  • The rocker arm (8)
  • The hexagonal heads of the screws (9)
  • The hexagonal heads of the assembly (10).
    Lubricate these parts as follows.
   (5) Lubrication
     (a) Use a BRUSH - BRISTLED, SMALL and apply Silicone base Grease-Mechanisms and Seals - - (Material No.03JCA9) around:
  • The 2 rocker arms (8)
  • The spherical head rod assemblies (10)
  • The support (11)
  • The needles
  • The parts that turn of the rocker arms.
    Carefully remove too much grease.

B. Close Up
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Put the cover (2) in position on the BDDV 2577GM (1).
   (3) Install the washers (3) and the screws (4), (6) and (7).
   (4) Tighten the screw (4) and TORQUE to between 0.15 and 0.1 m.daN (13.27 and 8.85 lbf.in ) T.
   (5) Tighten the screws (6) and (7), and TORQUE them to between 0.3 and 0.2 m.daN (26.55 and 17.70 lbf.in )

   (5) Close the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
