Installation of the Brake Control Master Cylinder
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.

Subtask 32-43-12-860-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) which tells persons not to operate the brake pedals is in position in the cockpit.
(3) Make sure that ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is in position at the access door 811.
(4) Make sure that the access door 811 is open.
(5) Make sure that the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) is in position below the removed master cylinder.
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) which tells persons not to operate the brake pedals is in position in the cockpit.
(3) Make sure that ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is in position at the access door 811.
(4) Make sure that the access door 811 is open.
(5) Make sure that the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) is in position below the removed master cylinder.
Subtask 32-43-12-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Brake Control Master Cylinder (2625GM,2626GM)
(1) Install the new AIPC 32-43-01-02-060 PACKINGS (9), the new AIPC 32-43-01-02-140 WASHER-PACKINGS (8) and the elbows union (6) with the nuts (7) on the master cylinder (13) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-11-911-002).
(2) Put the master cylinder (13) in position.
(3) Install the screw (1) and the bush (2).
(4) Install the washer (3) and the nut (4). Tighten the nut (4).
(5) Install the new AIPC 32-43-01-02-150 COTTER PIN (5).
(6) Install the bolt (11) and the washer (12).
(7) Install the washer (14) and the nut (15). Tighten the nut (15).
(8) Install the new AIPC 32-43-01-02-150 COTTER PIN (16).
(9) Adjust the direction of the elbow unions (6) to connect the hoses (10) and (17).
(10) TORQUE the nuts (7) to between 0.94 and 0.83 m.daN (83.19 and 73.45 lbf.in )
to safety the elbow unions (6).
(11) Remove the blanking plug from the hose (17).
(12) Connect the hose (17) to the master cylinder (13).
(13) TORQUE the hose (17) to between 1.63 and 1.52 m.daN (12.02 and 11.21 lbf.ft )

(14) Remove the blanking plug from the hose (10).
(15) Connect the hose (10) to the master cylinder (13).
(16) TORQUE the hose (10) to between 1.63 and 1.52 m.daN (12.02 and 11.21 lbf.ft )

Subtask 32-43-12-612-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL Subtask 32-43-12-710-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Install the new AIPC 32-43-01-02-060 PACKINGS (9), the new AIPC 32-43-01-02-140 WASHER-PACKINGS (8) and the elbows union (6) with the nuts (7) on the master cylinder (13) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-11-911-002).
(2) Put the master cylinder (13) in position.
(3) Install the screw (1) and the bush (2).
(4) Install the washer (3) and the nut (4). Tighten the nut (4).
(5) Install the new AIPC 32-43-01-02-150 COTTER PIN (5).
(6) Install the bolt (11) and the washer (12).
(7) Install the washer (14) and the nut (15). Tighten the nut (15).
(8) Install the new AIPC 32-43-01-02-150 COTTER PIN (16).
(9) Adjust the direction of the elbow unions (6) to connect the hoses (10) and (17).
(10) TORQUE the nuts (7) to between 0.94 and 0.83 m.daN (83.19 and 73.45 lbf.in )
to safety the elbow unions (6). (11) Remove the blanking plug from the hose (17).
(12) Connect the hose (17) to the master cylinder (13).
(13) TORQUE the hose (17) to between 1.63 and 1.52 m.daN (12.02 and 11.21 lbf.ft )
. (14) Remove the blanking plug from the hose (10).
(15) Connect the hose (10) to the master cylinder (13).
(16) TORQUE the hose (10) to between 1.63 and 1.52 m.daN (12.02 and 11.21 lbf.ft )
. C. Operational test
(1) Do the operational test of the Alternate braking system (Ref. AMM TASK 32-43-00-710-001).
5. Close-up(1) Do the operational test of the Alternate braking system (Ref. AMM TASK 32-43-00-710-001).

A. Close the access
(1) Remove the container.
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Close the access door 811.
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
(5) Remove the warning notices.
