Removal of the Brake Control Master Cylinder
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.

B. Get Access
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position at the access door 811.
(2) Open the access door 811.

C. Safety Precautions
(1) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the brake pedals.
(2) Put a CONTAINER 3 L(3/4 USGAL) in position below the master cylinder (13) that you must remove.
Subtask 32-43-12-680-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the brake pedals.
(2) Put a CONTAINER 3 L(3/4 USGAL) in position below the master cylinder (13) that you must remove.
D. Drain the Alternate Brake Reservoir
(1) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) near the Alternate brake reservoir (2624GM).
(2) Remove the plug (23) and the seal (22) from the valve (21)
(3) Install a ADAPTER - FILLER or equivalent on the valve (21).
(5) Use the knob on the ADAPTER - FILLER to move the striker forward to bleed the Alternate brake reservoir.
(7) Remove the bleed hose, the ADAPTER - FILLER and the container.
(8) Install the seal (22) and the plug (23) on the valve (21).
4. Procedure(1) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) near the Alternate brake reservoir (2624GM).
(2) Remove the plug (23) and the seal (22) from the valve (21)
(3) Install a ADAPTER - FILLER or equivalent on the valve (21).
NOTE: Before you connect the ADAPTER - FILLER to the valve (21), turn the knob fully to the left to make sure that the striker is fully rearward.
(4) Connect a HOSE - BLEED on the ADAPTER - FILLER and put the other end in the container. (5) Use the knob on the ADAPTER - FILLER to move the striker forward to bleed the Alternate brake reservoir.
NOTE: You must do this operation with a smooth movement to prevent damage to the valve mechanism.
(6) When the Alternate brake reservoir is bled, turn the knob fully to the left to move the striker rearward. (7) Remove the bleed hose, the ADAPTER - FILLER and the container.
(8) Install the seal (22) and the plug (23) on the valve (21).

A. Removal of the Brake Control Master Cylinder (2625GM,2626GM)
(1) Disconnect the hose (17).
(2) Put a PLUG - BLANKING on the disconnected line end.
(3) Disconnect the hose (10).
(4) Put a PLUG - BLANKING on the disconnected line end.
(5) Remove the cotter pin (16) from the nut (15) and discard it.
(6) Remove the nut (15) and the washer (14).
(7) Remove the screw (11) and the washer (12).
(8) Remove the cotter pin (5) from the nut (4) and discard it.
(9) Remove the nut (4) and the washer (3).
(10) Remove the screw (1) and the bush (2).
(11) Remove the master cylinder (13).
(12) Loosen the nuts (7) and remove the elbows (6) from the master cylinder (13).
(13) Remove and discard the washer-packings (8) and the packings (9).
(1) Disconnect the hose (17).
(2) Put a PLUG - BLANKING on the disconnected line end.
(3) Disconnect the hose (10).
(4) Put a PLUG - BLANKING on the disconnected line end.
(5) Remove the cotter pin (16) from the nut (15) and discard it.
(6) Remove the nut (15) and the washer (14).
(7) Remove the screw (11) and the washer (12).
(8) Remove the cotter pin (5) from the nut (4) and discard it.
(9) Remove the nut (4) and the washer (3).
(10) Remove the screw (1) and the bush (2).
(11) Remove the master cylinder (13).
(12) Loosen the nuts (7) and remove the elbows (6) from the master cylinder (13).
(13) Remove and discard the washer-packings (8) and the packings (9).
Hydraulic Reservoir
