WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.

A. Safety Precautions
   (1) Make sure that the SAFETY BARRIER(S) are in position.
   (2) Make sure that the ground safety locks are on the landing gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
   (3) On panel 400VU:
  • make sure that the landing-gear control-lever is in the DOWN position.
  • make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not the operate the landing gear.
   (4) On panel 110VU:
  • make sure that the free-fall extension-control-handle is in the normal position
   (5) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to pressurize the hydraulic systems.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) is in position below the applicable MLG.
   (2) Make sure that the Green hydraulic system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
   (3) Make sure that the applicable hydraulic reservoir has been depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).

4. Procedure
Subtask 32-42-77-420-051-A
A. Preparation for Installation
   (1) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
   (2) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
   (3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (4) Remove the CAP - BLANKING from the check valve (3).
   (5) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the AIPC 32-42-05-22-025 O-RING (4) and install the new O-ring (4) on the check valve (3).
   (6) Remove the CAP - BLANKING from the open ports of the manifold (5).
   (7) Make sure that the interfaces of the check valve (3) are clean and in the correct condition.

B. Installation of the Normal Brake-Return Check-Valve
   (1) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.
02ABA1) to the threads of the check valve (3) and install the check valve (3) on the manifold (5).
   (2) TORQUE the normal brake-return check-valve (3) to between 3.58 and 3.47 m.daN (26.40 and 25.59 lbf.ft ) T.
   (3) Remove the PLUG - BLANKING from the check valve (3) and coupling nut (2).
   (4) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.
02ABA1) to the threads of the coupling nut (2).
   (5) Connect the coupling nut (2) to the check valve (3).
   (6) TORQUE the coupling nut (2) to between 3.58 and 3.47 m.daN (26.40 and 25.59 lbf.ft ) T.

C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

A. Aircraft Configuration
   (1) Depressurize the Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
   (2) Depressurize the applicable hydraulic reservoir (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
   (3) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).

B. Removal of Equipment
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Remove the SAFETY BARRIER(S).
   (3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (4) Remove the access platform(s).
   (5) Remove the container.
   (6) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
