Installation of the Normal Brake Safety-Valve
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE FLIGHT CONTROL SAFETY-LOCKS AND THE WARNING NOTICES ARE IN POSITION.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
(2) Make sure that the ground safety locks are on the landing gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
(3) On the panel 400VU:

(2) Make sure that the ground safety locks are on the landing gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
(3) On the panel 400VU:
- make sure that the landing-gear control-lever 6GA is in the DOWN position
- make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear.
- operate the landing gear doors
- pressurize the Yellow and Green hydraulic systems
- pressurize the Yellow and Green hydraulic reservoirs.
B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the Yellow and the Green Hydraulic systems are depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(2) Make sure that the Green and the Yellow hydraulic system reservoirs are depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(3) Make sure that the access platform is in position at the applicable Main Landing Gear (MLG).
(4) Make sure that the container is in position below the applicable normal brake manifold.
Subtask 32-42-36-865-051-A (1) Make sure that the Yellow and the Green Hydraulic systems are depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(2) Make sure that the Green and the Yellow hydraulic system reservoirs are depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(3) Make sure that the access platform is in position at the applicable Main Landing Gear (MLG).
(4) Make sure that the container is in position below the applicable normal brake manifold.

A. Preparation for Installation
(1) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area with Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(4) Examine the filter (5) for contamination. If necessary clean the filter (5).
(5) Lubricate the items that follow with Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) :

B. Installation of the Normal Brake Safety-Valve
(2) Install the packings (6) and (9), the retainer (7) and the back-up ring (8) on the filter (5).
(3) Install the bobbin (4) and the filter (5) in the normal brake manifold.
(4) Carefully install the normal brake safety-valve (1) on the normal brake manifold. Make sure that you do not cause damage to:

Subtask 32-42-36-865-052-A WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE FLUID DOES NOT STAY ON THE AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE. IF THE FLUID GETS ON THE AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE, WASH IT OFF IMMEDIATELY WITH SOAP AND WATER.
(1) Install the packings (2) and the back-up rings (3) on the bobbin (4). (2) Install the packings (6) and (9), the retainer (7) and the back-up ring (8) on the filter (5).
(3) Install the bobbin (4) and the filter (5) in the normal brake manifold.
(4) Carefully install the normal brake safety-valve (1) on the normal brake manifold. Make sure that you do not cause damage to:
- The packings (2), (6) and (9)
- The back-up rings (3) and (8)
- The retainer (7)
- The bobbin (4)
- The filter (5).
. C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

D. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration

(4) Pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-863-002).
(5) Make sure that the Green and the Yellow hydraulic system reservoirs are pressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002).

MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE FLIGHT CONTROLS SURFACES ARE CLEAR. MOVEMENT OF FLIGHT CONTROLS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE CONTROLS AGREE WITH THE POSITION OF THE ITEMS THEY OPERATE BEFORE YOU PRESSURIZE A HYDRAULIC SYSTEM. UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF HYDRAULICALLY OPERATED ITEMS CAN CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
(3) Pressurize the Green hydraulic system(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-863-001).
(4) Pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-863-002).
(5) Make sure that the Green and the Yellow hydraulic system reservoirs are pressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
F. Test
(1) Do an operational test of the Normal Braking system (Ref. AMM TASK 32-42-00-710-001).
(2) Make sure that there are no hydraulic leaks at:
