A. Safety Precautions
   (1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
   (2) Make sure that the ground safety locks are installed on the landing gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
   (3) On the panel 400VU:
  • make sure that the landing-gear control-lever 6GA is in the DOWN position
  • put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the landing gear.
   (4) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) on the ground service connection to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
WARNING: OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.
   (1) Make sure that the Green hydraulic system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
   (2) Depressurize the Green hydraulic reservoir (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).

   (1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) below the applicable normal-brake servovalve manifold assembly:
     (a) FOR [2613GM] (MANIFOLD-NORM BRK SERVOVALVE,L)
below zone 731
     (b) FOR [2612GM] (MANIFOLD-NORM BRK SERVOVALVE,R)
below zone 741.
   (2) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the applicable normal-brake servovalve manifold assembly.
   (3) Disconnect the isolation coupling of the PTU (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).

A. Removal of the Normal-Brake Servovalve Manifold-Filter
WARNING: DO NOT GET THE FLUID ON YOUR SKIN OR IN YOUR EYES. IF YOU DO:
  • FLUSH IT AWAY WITH CLEAN WATER
  • GET MEDICAL AID.
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE FLUID DOES NOT STAY ON THE AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE. IF THE FLUID GETS ON THE AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE, WASH IT OFF IMMEDIATELY WITH SOAP AND WATER.
   (1) Cut, remove and discard the lockwire from the plug (1).
   (2) Remove the plug (1) from the filter (4).
   (3) Use the 89901 SPATULA to remove the packing (3) and the retainer (2) from the plug (1).
   (4) Discard the retainer (2) and the packing (3).
   (5) Remove the filter (4) from the manifold (6).
   (6) Use the 89901 SPATULA to remove the packing (5) from the filter (4).
   (7) Discard the filter (4) and the packing (5).
