Installation of the Hydraulic Brake Filter

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) Make sure that the PTU isolation coupling is disconnected (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-002).
(3) Make sure that the flight configuration precautions were obeyed (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-860-001).
(4) Make sure that the Green hydraulic system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001).
(5) Make sure that the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
Subtask 32-42-12-865-051-A (1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

C. Preparation of the Replacement Component
(1) Remove the unions (2) from the removed hydraulic brake filter (4).
(2) Remove and discard the packings (3).
(3) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the new packings (3) and the threads of the unions (2).
(4) Install the new AIPC 32-42-03-09-030 PACKINGS (3) or the new AIPC 32-42-83-01-070 PACKINGS (3) on the unions (2).
(5) Install the unions (2) in the new AIPC 32-42-03-09-040 HYDRAULIC BRAKE FILTER (4).
(6) TORQUE the unions (2) to between 3.470 and 3.186 m.daN (25.59 and 23.50 lbf.ft )

Subtask 32-42-12-560-053-A (1) Remove the unions (2) from the removed hydraulic brake filter (4).
(2) Remove and discard the packings (3).
(3) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the new packings (3) and the threads of the unions (2).
(4) Install the new AIPC 32-42-03-09-030 PACKINGS (3) or the new AIPC 32-42-83-01-070 PACKINGS (3) on the unions (2).
(5) Install the unions (2) in the new AIPC 32-42-03-09-040 HYDRAULIC BRAKE FILTER (4).
(6) TORQUE the unions (2) to between 3.470 and 3.186 m.daN (25.59 and 23.50 lbf.ft )
. D. Preparation for Installation
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002).
(a) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Brushable - (Material No.06AEA1) to the component interface.
4. Procedure(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002).
(a) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Brushable - (Material No.06AEA1) to the component interface.
Subtask 32-42-12-420-050-A
A. Installation of the Hydraulic Brake Filter
(1) Put the hydraulic brake filter (4) in position and install the washers (5) and the bolts (6).
(2) Remove the blanking plugs and install the connectors (1) to the unions (2).
(3) TORQUE the connectors (1) to between 5.9 and 5.4 m.daN (43.51 and 39.82 lbf.ft )

(4) Make a mark on the connectors (1) you have torqued (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
Subtask 32-42-12-865-052-A (1) Put the hydraulic brake filter (4) in position and install the washers (5) and the bolts (6).
(2) Remove the blanking plugs and install the connectors (1) to the unions (2).
(3) TORQUE the connectors (1) to between 5.9 and 5.4 m.daN (43.51 and 39.82 lbf.ft )
. (4) Make a mark on the connectors (1) you have torqued (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Preparation for Test
(1) Connect the PTU isolation coupling (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-002).
(2) If necessary fill the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system to the correct level (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001).
(3) Remove the container.
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
(5) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
Subtask 32-42-12-710-050-A (1) Connect the PTU isolation coupling (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-002).
(2) If necessary fill the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system to the correct level (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001).
(3) Remove the container.
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
(5) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
D. Test
(1) Do the operational test of the normal braking system (Ref. AMM TASK 32-42-00-710-001).
(2) Make sure that there is no hydraulic fluid leakage from the hydraulic brake filter 2584GM.
5. Close-up(1) Do the operational test of the normal braking system (Ref. AMM TASK 32-42-00-710-001).
(2) Make sure that there is no hydraulic fluid leakage from the hydraulic brake filter 2584GM.
Subtask 32-42-12-410-050-A
A. Close Access
(1) Apply corrosion protection to the connectors, unions and adjacent areas (Ref. AMM TASK 51-75-13-916-002).
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Close the applicable MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
(4) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
(1) Apply corrosion protection to the connectors, unions and adjacent areas (Ref. AMM TASK 51-75-13-916-002).
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Close the applicable MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
(4) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
