Subtask 32-33-14-860-052-A

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001)
(2) Make sure that the Green hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001)
(3) Depressurize the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001)

B. Get Access
(1) Open the NLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-010-001).
(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position below the bellcrank of the shaft assy in zone 123.

C. Safety Precautions
(1) Make sure that the safety devices are installed :

On the nose landing gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001)
On the NLG doors lever (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-002) .

(2) In the cockpit, on the panel 400VU, put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear control lever.
(3) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear free-fall extension system.
(4) On the panel 110VU, make sure that the GRAVITY GEAR EXTN handle is folded into the center console.
(5) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system:

On the panel 40VU in the cockpit
On the ground service panel of the Green hydraulic system, access doors 197CB.

D. Preparation before Removal of the Shaft Assembly
(1) In the cockpit, remove the floor panels 211FF, 211JF (Ref. AMM TASK 53-12-11-000-001).
(2) Remove the NLG free-fall extension cables (Ref. AMM TASK 32-33-16-000-001).

4. Procedure
Subtask 32-33-14-020-052-A

A. Removal of the Bellcrank (14) of the Shaft Assembly (3)
(1) Disconnect the rods (4) and (5).
(a) Remove and discard the cotter pins (12).
(b) Loosen the nuts (11) and the washers (13).
(c) Remove the bolts (16) with the bushes (6).
(d) Disengage the rods (4) and (5) from the bellcrank (14) and store them.
(2) Removal of the bellcrank (14)
(a) Remove and discard the AIPC 32-33-01-05-130 COTTER PIN (10) .
(b) Loosen the nut (9), the washer (8) and the bush (7).
(c) Remove the tapered bolt (15).
(3) Removal of the shaft assembly (3)
(a) Disengage the tabs of the lockwasher (18) from the nut (17).
(b) Loosen the nut (17) with the adapter wrench (98D32303000202) of the 98D32303000000 ADAPTER-WRENCH KIT.
(c) Remove and discard the tab lock washer AIPC 32-33-01-05-090 LOCKWASHER (18).
(d) Loosen the nut (1) and remove the bolt (20).
(e) Release the bracket (2) with a SPATULA - NON METALLIC.
(f) Pull-up the shaft assembly (3) from the bearing assembly (19).
(g) Remove the shaft assembly.
