Functional Check of Free-Fall System
WARNING:
PUT THE SAFETY DEVICES AND THE WARNING NOTICES IN POSITION BEFORE YOU START A TASK ON OR NEAR:
- THE FLIGHT CONTROLS
- THE FLIGHT CONTROL SURFACES
- THE LANDING GEAR AND THE RELATED DOORS
- COMPONENTS THAT MOVE.
NOTE: Before you do this task, do a Functional Check of the Free-Fall Extension, (Ref. TASK 32-33-00-720-001-A). This is to make sure that all of the conditions necessary for a landing gear extension are correct.
NOTE: The check that follows is to check for stiffness in the mechanism of each landing gear. The condition of the landing gear is satisfactory when the landing gears can be locked down by one of their two locksprings.
