A. Inductance Check of the Proximity Sensors/Switches-Aircraft On-Ground Condition
(2) Do procedure 1 or 2 to check each applicable proximity sensor/switch as follows:
(a) Procedure 1:
1 Get the related LGCIU ARINC connector pin numbers of the applicable proximity sensor/switch from the applicable table.
2 Find the related pin locations in connector AA of the applicable LGCIU ARINC tray.
3 Use a INDUCTANCE METER 1KHZ to measure and record the inductance between the applicable pins of connector AA.
or
(b) Procedure 2:
1 Install the 38-798-01 A320FAM LGCIU BREAKOUT BOX.
2 Select the proximity sensor channel to be tested.
3 Use a INDUCTANCE METER 1KHZ to measure and record the inductance.
4 Remove the 38-798-01 A320FAM LGCIU BREAKOUT BOX.
(c) Compare the recorded inductance value with the value given in the applicable table. If the recorded inductance value is not as specified, refer to Para. 4.D.
(3) If a check of a MLG or NLG uplock proximity sensor is necessary, check the target-near inductance as follows:
(b) Check and record the applicable proximity sensor inductance again.
(c) Compare the recorded inductance value with the value given in the table. If the recorded inductance value is not as specified, refer to Para. 4.D.
Subtask 32-31-73-860-070-A NOTE: The inductance value at the target-near position is very important to the correct operation of the proximity sensor/switch. If the inductance value of the proximity sensor/switch is not correct, then the L/G will not operate.
(1) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002). (2) Do procedure 1 or 2 to check each applicable proximity sensor/switch as follows:
(a) Procedure 1:

(3) If a check of a MLG or NLG uplock proximity sensor is necessary, check the target-near inductance as follows:
NOTE: This check will give a simulated target-near position inductance value. An accurate check can only be made with the landing gear retracted (the full weight of the gear will then be applied to the uplock).
(a) Use a ROD - NON METALLIC to fully close the locking mechanism of the applicable uplock assembly. (b) Check and record the applicable proximity sensor inductance again.
(c) Compare the recorded inductance value with the value given in the table. If the recorded inductance value is not as specified, refer to Para. 4.D.
NOTE: The closed uplock(s) will be opened automatically when the hydraulics are pressurized and the electrical circuits are energized if:
- the landing-gear control lever 6GA is in the DOWN position
- the MLG door ground-control-handles are locked in the OPEN position (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001)
- the NLG ground door-opening handle is locked in the opening position (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-010-001)
