1. Reason for the Job
This task is applicable if, in the installation procedure, the setting tool-uplock is used. This is necessary if the uplock has to be adjusted.

3. Job Set-up
Subtask 32-31-44-941-057-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Safety Precautions
   (1) Put the SAFETY BARRIER(S) in position.
   (2) Make sure that the ground safety locks are on the landing gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
   (3) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) on the ground service connection to tell persons not to pressurize the Green and Yellow hydraulic systems.
   (4) On the panel 400VU:
  • Make sure that the landing-gear control-lever 6GA is in the DOWN position
  • Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) To do this task it is necessary to put the aircraft on jacks (Ref. AMM TASK 07-11-00-581-001).
   (2) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (3) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.

C. Get Access
   (1) Open the applicable MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).

D. Disconnection of the PTU Isolation Coupling
   (1) Depressurize the Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001).
   (2) Depressurize the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
   (3) Disconnect the PTU isolation coupling (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
   (4) Obey the flight configuration precautions (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-860-001).
4. Procedure
Subtask 32-31-44-020-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of MLG Uplock-Support Struts
   (1) Remove the support strut A:
     (a) Make a note of the dimension "Y".
NOTE: This dimension is necessary for the installation of the new component.
     (b) Remove and discard the cotter pins (5) and (11).
     (c) Remove the nut (4) and the washer (3).
     (d) Remove the bolt (1) and the bush (2).
     (e) Remove the nut (12) and the washers (9) and (10).
     (f) Pull the bolt (6) out and removed the washers assembly (7).
     (g) Remove the support strut A (8).
   (2) Remove the support strut B:
     (a) Make a note of the dimension "Z"
NOTE: This dimension is necessary for the installation of the new component.
     (b) Remove and discard the cotter pins (19) and (21).
     (c) Remove the nut (20) and the washer (22).
     (d) Remove the bolt (24) and the bush (23).
     (e) Remove the nut (18) and the washers (16) and (17).
     (f) Pull the bolt (13) out and removed the washers assembly (14).
     (g) Remove the support strut B (15).
