3. Job Set-up
Subtask 32-31-44-941-055-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Safety Precautions
   (1) Put the SAFETY BARRIER(S) in position.
   (2) Make sure that the ground safety locks are on the landing gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
   (3) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) on the ground service connection to tell persons not to pressurize the Green and Yellow hydraulic systems.
   (4) On the panel 400VU:
  • Make sure that the landing-gear control-lever 6GA is in the DOWN position
  • Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) To do this task it is necessary to put the aircraft on jacks (Ref. AMM TASK 07-11-00-581-001).
   (2) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002)
   (3) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.

C. Get Access
   (1) Open the applicable MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).

D. Disconnection of the PTU Isolation Coupling
   (1) Depressurize the Green hydraulic system is (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001).
   (2) Depressurize the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
   (3) Obey the flight configuration precautions (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-860-001).

4. Procedure
Subtask 32-31-44-020-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the MLG Uplock Assembly 2509GM (2510GM) view B
   (1) Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002).
   (2) Disconnect the electrical connectors (5) and (6) from the uplock assembly (8).
   (3) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
   (4) Make a note of the dimension "X".
NOTE: This dimension is necessary for the installation of the new component.
   (5) Disconnect the hydraulic hoses (7) and (9) from the uplock assembly (8).
   (6) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
   (7) Remove the bonding strap (view E):
     (a) Remove the nut (21), the washer (22), the bolt (14) and disconnect the bonding strap (13) from the uplock assembly (8).
   (8) Disconnect the Free Fall Exstension Rod (35) view D:
     (a) Remove and discard the cotter pin (38).
     (b) Remove the nut (36), the washer (37), the bolt (33) and the bush (34).
     (c) Move the rod (35) away from the lever (29).
   (9) Disconnect the Strut A (4) view E:
     (a) Remove and discard the cotter pin (15).
     (b) Remove the nut (16), the washers (17), (18) the bolt (20) and the washer assembly (19).
     (c) Move the strut (4) away from the uplock assembly (8).
   (10) Disconnect the Strut B (10) view F:
     (a) Remove and discard the cotter pin (28).
     (b) Remove the nut (27), the washers (25), (26) the bolt (23) and the washer assembly (24).
     (c) Move the strut (10) away from the uplock assembly (8).
   (11) Remove the MLG Uplock Assembly 2509GM (2510GM) view B:
     (a) Remove and discard the cotter pin (3).
WARNING: SUPPORT THE UNIT/ASSEMBLY. THE UNIT/ASSEMBLY IS HEAVY. IF YOU DO NOT SUPPORT IT, IT WILL FALL. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS, AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
     (b) Remove the nut (2), the bolt (11), the washer (12), the outer bush (1) and remove the uplock assembly (8).
     (c) If necessary remove the inner bush (1).
