Installation of the MLG Check Valves
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT ALL THE CIRCUITS IN MAINTENANCE ARE ISOLATED BEFORE YOU SUPPLY ELECTRICAL POWER TO THE AIRCRAFT. UNWANTED ELECTRICAL POWER CAN BE DANGEROUS.

- THE FLIGHT CONTROLS
- THE FLIGHT CONTROL SURFACES

- COMPONENTS THAT MOVE.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the PTU isolation coupling is disconnected (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
(2) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(3) Make sure that the flight configuration precautions were obeyed (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-860-001).
(4) Make sure that the Green hydraulic system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001).
(5) Make sure that the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
Subtask 32-31-36-865-052-A (1) Make sure that the PTU isolation coupling is disconnected (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
(2) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

C. Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system:
Subtask 32-31-36-560-050-A - On the panel 40VU in the cockpit
- On the ground service panel of the Green hydraulic system.
D. Preparation for Installation
(1) Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002)
(2) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(3) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(5) Preparation of check valve 2519GM:
(a) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(b) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the threads of the check valve (13).
(c) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the new AIPC 32-31-03-15-040 PACKING (12) or the new AIPC 32-31-83-12-040 PACKING (12).
(d) Put the packing (12) on the check valve (13).
(6) Preparation of check valve 2525GM:
(a) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(b) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the threads of the check valve (4).
(c) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the new AIPC 32-31-03-10-220 PACKING (5) or the new AIPC 32-31-83-04-190 PACKING (5).
(d) Put the packing (5) on the check valve (4).
(7) Preparation of check valve 2529GM:
(a) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(b) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the threads of the check valve (7).
(c) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the new AIPC 32-31-03-10-220 PACKING (5) or the new AIPC 32-31-83-04-190 PACKING (5).
(d) Put the packing (5) on the check valve (7).
4. Procedure(1) Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002)
(2) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(3) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.

(a) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.

(c) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the new AIPC 32-31-03-15-040 PACKING (12) or the new AIPC 32-31-83-12-040 PACKING (12).
(d) Put the packing (12) on the check valve (13).
(6) Preparation of check valve 2525GM:
(a) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(b) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the threads of the check valve (4).
(c) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the new AIPC 32-31-03-10-220 PACKING (5) or the new AIPC 32-31-83-04-190 PACKING (5).
(d) Put the packing (5) on the check valve (4).
(7) Preparation of check valve 2529GM:
(a) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(b) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the threads of the check valve (7).
(c) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the new AIPC 32-31-03-10-220 PACKING (5) or the new AIPC 32-31-83-04-190 PACKING (5).
(d) Put the packing (5) on the check valve (7).

A. Installation of Check Valve 2519GM
(1) Install the check valve (13) in the union (11).
(2) TORQUE the check valve (13) to between 86.9 and 71.1 m.N (64.09 and 52.43 lbf.ft )

(3) Put the union (11) together with the check valve (13) in position and tighten the connectors (10), (14), (9) and (8).
(4) TORQUE the connector (10) to between 59 and 54 m.N (43.51 and 39.82 lbf.ft )

(5) TORQUE the connector (14) to between 32 and 29 m.N (23.60 and 21.39 lbf.ft )
.
(6) TORQUE the connector (9) to between 59 and 54 m.N (43.51 and 39.82 lbf.ft )
.
(7) TORQUE the connector (8) to between 17 and 15 m.N (12.54 and 11.06 lbf.ft )
.
(8) Identify the tightened union nuts with a red line
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
Subtask 32-31-36-420-053-A (1) Install the check valve (13) in the union (11).
(2) TORQUE the check valve (13) to between 86.9 and 71.1 m.N (64.09 and 52.43 lbf.ft )

(4) TORQUE the connector (10) to between 59 and 54 m.N (43.51 and 39.82 lbf.ft )

.(8) Identify the tightened union nuts with a red line

B. Installation of the Check Valve 2525GM
(1) Install the check valve (4) in the manifold (6).
(2) TORQUE the check valve (4) to between 86.9 and 71.1 m.N (64.09 and 52.43 lbf.ft )

(3) Connect the connector (3) to the check valve (4).
(4) TORQUE the connector (3) to between 32 and 29 m.N (23.60 and 21.39 lbf.ft )
.
(5) Identify the tightened union nuts with a red line
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
Subtask 32-31-36-420-054-A (1) Install the check valve (4) in the manifold (6).
(2) TORQUE the check valve (4) to between 86.9 and 71.1 m.N (64.09 and 52.43 lbf.ft )
. (3) Connect the connector (3) to the check valve (4).
(4) TORQUE the connector (3) to between 32 and 29 m.N (23.60 and 21.39 lbf.ft )
. (5) Identify the tightened union nuts with a red line

C. Installation of Check Valve 2529GM
(1) Install the check valve (7) in the manifold (6).
(2) TORQUE the check valve (7) to between 86.9 and 71.1 m.N (64.09 and 52.43 lbf.ft )

(3) Connect the connector (1) to the check valve (7).
(4) TORQUE the connector (1) to between 32 and 29 m.N (23.60 and 21.39 lbf.ft )

(5) Connect the connectors (15) to the unions (2).
(6) TORQUE the connectors (15) to between 32 and 29 m.N (23.60 and 21.39 lbf.ft )

(7) Identify the tightened union nuts with a red line
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
Subtask 32-31-36-865-051-A (1) Install the check valve (7) in the manifold (6).
(2) TORQUE the check valve (7) to between 86.9 and 71.1 m.N (64.09 and 52.43 lbf.ft )
. (3) Connect the connector (1) to the check valve (7).
(4) TORQUE the connector (1) to between 32 and 29 m.N (23.60 and 21.39 lbf.ft )
.(5) Connect the connectors (15) to the unions (2).
(6) TORQUE the connectors (15) to between 32 and 29 m.N (23.60 and 21.39 lbf.ft )
.(7) Identify the tightened union nuts with a red line

D. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

E. Preparation for Test
(1) Connect the PTU isolation coupling (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-002).
(2) If the flight configuration precautions were obeyed, put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-860-002).
(3) Remove the container.
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(5) Remove the access platform(s).
(6) Close the left MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
(7) If necessary, fill the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system to the correct level (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001).
Subtask 32-31-36-720-050-A (1) Connect the PTU isolation coupling (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-002).
(2) If the flight configuration precautions were obeyed, put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-860-002).
(3) Remove the container.
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(5) Remove the access platform(s).
(6) Close the left MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
(7) If necessary, fill the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system to the correct level (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001).
F. Test
(1) Do the functional check of the free-fall extension (Ref. AMM TASK 32-33-00-720-001).
(2) Open the left MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(3) Make sure that there is no hydraulic fluid leakage from the check valve(s).
5. Close-up(1) Do the functional check of the free-fall extension (Ref. AMM TASK 32-33-00-720-001).
(2) Open the left MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(3) Make sure that there is no hydraulic fluid leakage from the check valve(s).
Subtask 32-31-36-410-050-A
A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Apply corrosion protection to the check valve(s), the pipe connections and the adjacent areas (Ref. AMM TASK 51-75-13-916-002).
(3) Close the left MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
(4) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Apply corrosion protection to the check valve(s), the pipe connections and the adjacent areas (Ref. AMM TASK 51-75-13-916-002).
(3) Close the left MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
(4) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
MLG Check Valves 2519GM, 2525GM and 2529GM
