Subtask 32-31-33-860-052-A
(1) If you will install a replacement MLG door uplock (4), do the steps that follow:
(a) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) to the splines of the levers (16) and (22), the bolts (40) and (47) and the splines of the replacement MLG door uplock (4).
(b) Align the master splines and install the lever (16) on the splined shaft of the replacement MLG door uplock (4).
(c) Install the bolt (47), the washer (46) and the nut (45).
(d) Tighten the nut (45).
(e) Safety the nut (45) with the new AIPC 32-31-03-24-030 COTTER PIN (44) or AIPC 32-31-83-44-030 COTTER PIN (44).
(f) Align the master splines and install the lever (22) on the splined shaft of the replacement MLG door uplock (4).
(g) Install the bolt (40), the washer (41) and the nut (42).
(h) Tighten the nut (42).
(i) Safety the nut (42) with the new AIPC 32-31-03-24-030 COTTER PIN (43) or AIPC 32-31-83-44-030 COTTER PIN (43).
(j) Apply the corrosion preventive compound to the nuts (42) and (45), the bolts (40) and (47) and the adjacent areas (Ref. AMM TASK 51-75-13-916-002).
Subtask 32-31-33-560-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
(1) If you will install a replacement MLG door uplock (4), do the steps that follow:
(a) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) to the splines of the levers (16) and (22), the bolts (50) and (57) and the splines of the replacement MLG door uplock (4).
(b) Align the master splines and install the lever (16) on the splined shaft of the replacement MLG door uplock (4).
(c) Install the bolt (57), the washer (56) and the nut (55).
(d) Tighten the nut (55).
(e) Safety the nut (55) with the new AIPC 32-31-03-24-030 COTTER PIN (54) or AIPC 32-31-83-44-030 COTTER PIN (54).
(f) Align the master splines and install the lever (22) on the splined shaft of the replacement MLG door uplock (4).
(g) Install the bolt (50), the washer (51) and the nut (52).
(h) Tighten the nut (52).
(i) Safety the nut (52) with the new AIPC 32-31-03-24-030 COTTER PIN (53) or AIPC 32-31-83-44-030 COTTER PIN (53).
(j) Apply the corrosion preventive compound to the nuts (52) and (55), the bolts (50) and (57) and the adjacent areas (Ref. AMM TASK 51-75-13-916-002).

Subtask 32-31-33-420-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
(1) Put the disconnected end of the control rod (15) between the forks of the lever (16) and make sure that the holes are aligned.
(a) If necessary, adjust the control rod (15) as follows:
1 Remove and discard the lockwire from the locknuts (14) at each end of the control rod (15).
2 Loosen the locknuts (14).
3 Turn the control rod (15) until the holes are aligned.
4 Tighten the locknuts (14).
5 Make sure that the threads at each end of the control rod (15) are in the correct condition.
6 Safety the locknuts (14) with14QFB1 Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy - .
(2) Put the disconnected end of the control rod (28) between the forks of the lever (22) and make sure that the holes are aligned.
(a) If necessary, adjust the disconnected end of the control rod (28) as follows:
1 Remove and discard the lockwire from the locknuts (27) at each end of the control rod (28).
2 Loosen the locknuts (27).
3 Turn the control rod (28) until the holes are aligned.
4 Tighten the locknuts (27).
5 Make sure that the threads at each end of the control rod (28) are in the correct condition.
6 Safety the locknuts (27) with14QFB1 Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy - .
Subtask 32-31-33-420-054-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
(1) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) to the bolts (23) and (20) and the bushes (29) and (21).
(2) Put the control rod (28) in position.
(3) Install the bush (29), the bolt (23), the washer (24) and the nut (25).
(4) Tighten the nut (25).
(5) Safety the nut (25) with the new AIPC 32-33-03-01-170 COTTER PIN (26) or AIPC 32-33-83-01-020 COTTER PIN (26).
(6) Put the control rod (15) in position.
(7) Install the bush (21), the bolt (20), the washer (19) and the nut (18).
(8) Tighten the nut (18).
(9) Safety the nut (18) with the new AIPC 32-31-03-50-270 COTTER PIN (17) or AIPC 32-31-83-46-010 COTTER PIN (17).
(10) Install the bonding strap (7) as follows:
(a) Cut, remove and discard the tie-wrap.
(b) Prepare the surface of the bonding point(s)
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-803).
(c) Install the bonding strap (7), the washers (6) and (8), the bolt (9) and the nut (5).
(d) Do the electrical resistance measurement and the final protection of the bonding point(s)
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(e) Tighten the nut (5).

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the PTU isolation coupling is disconnected (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
(2) Make sure that the Green hydraulic system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001).
(3) Make sure that the flight configuration precautions were obeyed (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-860-001).
(4) Make sure that the applicable MLG doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(5) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position.

D. Preparation of the Replacement Component (1) If you will install a replacement MLG door uplock (4), do the steps that follow:

D. Preparation of the Replacement Component (1) If you will install a replacement MLG door uplock (4), do the steps that follow:
(a) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) to the splines of the levers (16) and (22), the bolts (50) and (57) and the splines of the replacement MLG door uplock (4).
(b) Align the master splines and install the lever (16) on the splined shaft of the replacement MLG door uplock (4).
(c) Install the bolt (57), the washer (56) and the nut (55).
(d) Tighten the nut (55).
(e) Safety the nut (55) with the new AIPC 32-31-03-24-030 COTTER PIN (54) or AIPC 32-31-83-44-030 COTTER PIN (54).
(f) Align the master splines and install the lever (22) on the splined shaft of the replacement MLG door uplock (4).
(g) Install the bolt (50), the washer (51) and the nut (52).
(h) Tighten the nut (52).
(i) Safety the nut (52) with the new AIPC 32-31-03-24-030 COTTER PIN (53) or AIPC 32-31-83-44-030 COTTER PIN (53).
(j) Apply the corrosion preventive compound to the nuts (52) and (55), the bolts (50) and (57) and the adjacent areas (Ref. AMM TASK 51-75-13-916-002).
E. Preparation for Installation
(1) Clean the mating surfaces with Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Petroleum Based - (Material No.08BBB1) and dry them with filtered compressed air.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(4) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) to the bolts (2) and the bushes (1).
4. Procedure(1) Clean the mating surfaces with Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Petroleum Based - (Material No.08BBB1) and dry them with filtered compressed air.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(4) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) to the bolts (2) and the bushes (1).
Subtask 32-31-33-420-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the MLG Door Uplock
(1) Do the steps that follow:
(a) Attach the switch brackets (32) to the proximity sensors (30) with the washers (36), cap screws (35) and nuts (39).
(b) TORQUE the cap screws (35) to between 5.61 and 4.59 m.N (49.65 and 40.62 lbf.in )
.
(c) Put the switch brackets (32) together with the proximity sensors (30) and the shims (31) in the position identified during the removal procedure.
(d) Install the washers (33) and the cap screws (34).
(e) TORQUE the cap screws (34) to between 5.65 and 5.08 m.N (50 and 45 lbf.in )
.
(2) Put the MLG door uplock (4) in position.
(3) Install the bushes (1), the bolts (2), the washers (11) and the nuts (13).
(4) Tighten the nuts (13).
(6) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(7) Connect the unions (3) and (10) to the hydraulic connectors of the MLG door uplock (4).
(8) TORQUE the unions (3) and (10) to between 1.7 and 1.5 m.daN (12.54 and 11.06 lbf.ft )
.
(9) Identify the tightened union nuts with a red line
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
(10) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(11) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(12) Connect the electrical connectors (37) and (38) to the proximity sensors (30).
Subtask 32-31-33-420-051-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Do the steps that follow:
(a) Attach the switch brackets (32) to the proximity sensors (30) with the washers (36), cap screws (35) and nuts (39).
(b) TORQUE the cap screws (35) to between 5.61 and 4.59 m.N (49.65 and 40.62 lbf.in )
.(c) Put the switch brackets (32) together with the proximity sensors (30) and the shims (31) in the position identified during the removal procedure.
(d) Install the washers (33) and the cap screws (34).
(e) TORQUE the cap screws (34) to between 5.65 and 5.08 m.N (50 and 45 lbf.in )
.(2) Put the MLG door uplock (4) in position.
(3) Install the bushes (1), the bolts (2), the washers (11) and the nuts (13).
(4) Tighten the nuts (13).
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL A COTTER PIN. EACH TIME YOU REMOVE A COTTER PIN DURING THE TASK, DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. A LOOSE COTTER PIN CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND.
(5) Safety the nuts (13) with the new AIPC 32-31-03-24-220 COTTER PINS (12) or AIPC 32-31-83-44-220 COTTER PINS (12).(6) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(7) Connect the unions (3) and (10) to the hydraulic connectors of the MLG door uplock (4).
(8) TORQUE the unions (3) and (10) to between 1.7 and 1.5 m.daN (12.54 and 11.06 lbf.ft )
. (9) Identify the tightened union nuts with a red line
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
(10) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(11) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(12) Connect the electrical connectors (37) and (38) to the proximity sensors (30).
A. Installation of the MLG Door Uplock
(1) Do the steps that follow:
(a) Attach the switch brackets (36) and (37) to the proximity sensors (30) with the washers (35), cap screws (34) and new AIPC 32-31-33-01-200 NUTS (42).
(b) TORQUE the cap screws (34) to between 5.33 and 4.83 m.N (47.17 and 42.74 lbf.in )
.
(c) Put the switch brackets (36) and (37) together with the proximity sensors (30) and the shims (31) in the position identified during the removal procedure.
(d) Install the washers (32) and the cap screws (33).
(e) TORQUE the cap screws (33) to between 5.65 and 5.08 m.N (50.0 and 45.0 lbf.in )
.
(f) Measure the clearance between the switch brackets (36) and (37). Calculate the quantity of the shim(s) (47) to get 0 -0.05 mm or +0.05 mm (0 -0.0020 in. or +0.0020 in.) of this measured clearance.
(g) Put the calculated quantity of the shim(s) (47) in position between the switch brackets (36) and (37).
(h) Install the cap screw (48), the washer (46) and the nut (45).
(i) TORQUE the nut (45) to between 5.33 and 4.83 m.N (47.17 and 42.74 lbf.in )

(2) Put the MLG door uplock (4) in position.
(3) Install the bushes (1), the bolts (2), the washers (11) and the nuts (13).
(4) Tighten the nuts (13).
(6) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(7) Connect the unions (3) and (10) to the hydraulic connectors of the MLG door uplock (4).
(8) TORQUE the unions (3) and (10) to between 1.7 and 1.5 m.daN (12.54 and 11.06 lbf.ft )

(9) Identify the tightened union nuts with a red line
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
(10) Put the clamp blocks (38) and the electrical connectors (40) and (41) in position.
(11) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(12) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(13) Connect the electrical connectors (40) and (41) to the proximity sensors (30).
(14) Install the cap screws (39), the washers (43) and the nuts (44). Do not tighten the nuts (44) at this step.
(15) Apply pressure on the clamp blocks (38) and make sure that the electrical connectors (40) and (41) do not move.
(16) TORQUE the nuts (44) to between 5.34 and 4.83 m.N (47.26 and 42.74 lbf.in )

Subtask 32-31-33-480-050-A (1) Do the steps that follow:
(a) Attach the switch brackets (36) and (37) to the proximity sensors (30) with the washers (35), cap screws (34) and new AIPC 32-31-33-01-200 NUTS (42).
(b) TORQUE the cap screws (34) to between 5.33 and 4.83 m.N (47.17 and 42.74 lbf.in )
.(c) Put the switch brackets (36) and (37) together with the proximity sensors (30) and the shims (31) in the position identified during the removal procedure.
(d) Install the washers (32) and the cap screws (33).
(e) TORQUE the cap screws (33) to between 5.65 and 5.08 m.N (50.0 and 45.0 lbf.in )
.(f) Measure the clearance between the switch brackets (36) and (37). Calculate the quantity of the shim(s) (47) to get 0 -0.05 mm or +0.05 mm (0 -0.0020 in. or +0.0020 in.) of this measured clearance.
(g) Put the calculated quantity of the shim(s) (47) in position between the switch brackets (36) and (37).
(h) Install the cap screw (48), the washer (46) and the nut (45).
(i) TORQUE the nut (45) to between 5.33 and 4.83 m.N (47.17 and 42.74 lbf.in )
.(2) Put the MLG door uplock (4) in position.
(3) Install the bushes (1), the bolts (2), the washers (11) and the nuts (13).
(4) Tighten the nuts (13).
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL A COTTER PIN. EACH TIME YOU REMOVE A COTTER PIN DURING THE TASK, DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. A LOOSE COTTER PIN CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND.
(5) Safety the nuts (13) with the new AIPC 32-31-03-24-220 COTTER PINS (12) or AIPC 32-31-83-44-220 COTTER PINS (12).(6) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(7) Connect the unions (3) and (10) to the hydraulic connectors of the MLG door uplock (4).
(8) TORQUE the unions (3) and (10) to between 1.7 and 1.5 m.daN (12.54 and 11.06 lbf.ft )
. (9) Identify the tightened union nuts with a red line
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
(10) Put the clamp blocks (38) and the electrical connectors (40) and (41) in position.
(11) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(12) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(13) Connect the electrical connectors (40) and (41) to the proximity sensors (30).
(14) Install the cap screws (39), the washers (43) and the nuts (44). Do not tighten the nuts (44) at this step.
(15) Apply pressure on the clamp blocks (38) and make sure that the electrical connectors (40) and (41) do not move.
(16) TORQUE the nuts (44) to between 5.34 and 4.83 m.N (47.26 and 42.74 lbf.in )

(2) Pressurize the Green hydraulic system
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-863-001).
(3) Close circuit breaker 1GA.
(4) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(5) Move the MLG ground door-opening handle from the OPEN to the CLOSED position.
NOTE: This is necessary to install the rigging pins.
(6) Depressurize the Green hydraulic system(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001).
(7) Depressurize the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(8) Open circuit breaker 1GA.
(9) Put the rigging pins in position:
(a) FOR [2521GM] (UPLOCK ASSY-MLG DOOR, L)
- Put the 98DNSA20208060 RIGGING PIN through the lever into the forward face of MLG door uplock 2521GM
- Put the 98DNSA20208040 RIGGING PIN through the lever into the aft face of MLG door uplock 2521GM
- Put the 98DNSA20208040 RIGGING PIN through the lever into the forward face of MLG vent valve 2516GM
- Put the 98DNSA20208040 RIGGING PIN through the lever into the aft face of door by-pass valve 2517GM.
- Put the 98DNSA20208060 RIGGING PIN through the lever into the forward face of MLG door uplock 2520GM
- Put the 98DNSA20208040 RIGGING PIN through the lever into the aft face of MLG door uplock 2520GM
- Put the 98DNSA20208060 RIGGING PIN through the lever into the forward face of cutout valve 2515GM
- Put the 98DNSA20208040 RIGGING PIN through the lever into the aft face of door by-pass valve 2518GM.
C. Adjustment of the MLG Door Uplock
(a) If necessary, adjust the control rod (15) as follows:
1 Remove and discard the lockwire from the locknuts (14) at each end of the control rod (15).
2 Loosen the locknuts (14).
3 Turn the control rod (15) until the holes are aligned.
4 Tighten the locknuts (14).
5 Make sure that the threads at each end of the control rod (15) are in the correct condition.
6 Safety the locknuts (14) with14QFB1 Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy - .
(2) Put the disconnected end of the control rod (28) between the forks of the lever (22) and make sure that the holes are aligned.
(a) If necessary, adjust the control rod (28) as follows:
1 Remove and discard the lockwire from the locknuts (27) at each end of the control rod (28).
2 Loosen the locknuts (27).
3 Turn the control rod (28) until the holes are aligned.
4 Tighten the locknuts (27).
5 Make sure that the threads at each end of the control rod (28) are in the correct condition.

2 Loosen the locknuts (14).
3 Turn the control rod (15) until the holes are aligned.
4 Tighten the locknuts (14).

(1) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) to the bolts (23) and (20) and the bushes (29) and (21).
(2) Put the control rod (28) in position.
(3) Install the bush (29), the bolt (23), the washer (24) and the nut (25).
(4) Tighten the nut (25).
(5) Safety the nut (25) with the new AIPC 32-33-03-01-170 COTTER PIN (26) or AIPC 32-33-83-01-020 COTTER PIN (26).
(6) Put the control rod (15) in position.
(7) Install the bush (21), the bolt (20), the washer (19) and the nut (18).
(8) Tighten the nut (18).
(9) Safety the nut (18) with the new AIPC 32-31-03-50-270 COTTER PIN (17) or AIPC 32-31-83-46-010 COTTER PIN (17).
(10) Install the bonding strap (7) as follows:
(a) Cut, remove and discard the tie-wrap.
(b) Prepare the surface of the bonding point(s)
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-803).
(c) Install the bonding strap (7), the washers (6) and (8), the bolt (9) and the nut (5).
(d) Do the electrical resistance measurement and the final protection of the bonding point(s)
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(e) Tighten the nut (5).

(c) Install the bonding strap (7), the washers (6) and (8), the bolt (9) and the nut (5).
(d) Do the electrical resistance measurement and the final protection of the bonding point(s)
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(e) Tighten the nut (5).

2 Loosen the locknuts (14).
3 Turn the control rod (15) until the holes are aligned.

I. Preparation for Test
(1) Connect the PTU isolation coupling (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-002).
(2) If the flight configuration precautions were obeyed, put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-860-002).
(3) Remove the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL).
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(5) Remove the access platform(s).
(6) Close the applicable MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
(7) If necessary, fill the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system to the correct level (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001).
Subtask 32-31-33-710-050-A (1) Connect the PTU isolation coupling (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-002).
(2) If the flight configuration precautions were obeyed, put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-860-002).
(3) Remove the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL).
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(5) Remove the access platform(s).
(6) Close the applicable MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
(7) If necessary, fill the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system to the correct level (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001).
J. Test(s)
(1) Do the operational test of the landing gear doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-31-00-710-002).
(2) Do the operational test of the gear uplock and door uplock mechanical-control-system (Ref. AMM TASK 32-33-00-710-001).
(3) Open the applicable MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(4) Make sure that there is no hydraulic fluid leakage from the MLG door uplock 2520GM (2521GM).
5. Close-up(1) Do the operational test of the landing gear doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-31-00-710-002).
(2) Do the operational test of the gear uplock and door uplock mechanical-control-system (Ref. AMM TASK 32-33-00-710-001).
(3) Open the applicable MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(4) Make sure that there is no hydraulic fluid leakage from the MLG door uplock 2520GM (2521GM).
Subtask 32-31-33-410-050-A
A. Close Access
(1) Apply corrosion preventive compound to the nuts, bolts, pipe connections and adjacent areas (Ref. AMM TASK 51-75-13-916-002).
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Close the applicable MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
(4) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
(1) Apply corrosion preventive compound to the nuts, bolts, pipe connections and adjacent areas (Ref. AMM TASK 51-75-13-916-002).
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Close the applicable MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
(4) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
