Subtask 32-31-19-860-051-A
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the PTU isolation coupling is disconnected (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
   (2) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are de-energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002) or the flight configuration precautions were obeyed (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-860-001).
   (3) Make sure that the Green hydraulic system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001).
   (4) Make sure that the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
   (5) Make sure that the warning notices are in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system:
  • On the panel 40VU in the cockpit
  • On the ground panel of the Green hydraulic system.

C. Preparation for Installation
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
   (4) Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002).
   (5) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the new packings (6) and the new back-up rings (5).
   (6) If necessary, apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the new seals (2) and the new back-up rings (3).
4. Procedure
Subtask 32-31-19-420-051-B
A. Installation of the Valves (1) and (7) on the Manifold Assy (8)
   (1) Remove the blanking plugs.
   (2) If removed, install the new AIPC 32-31-03-36-130 BACK-UP RINGS (3) or AIPC 32-31-83-36-120 BACK-UP RINGS (3) and the new AIPC 32-31-03-36-120 SEALS (2) or AIPC 32-31-83-36-110 SEALS (2) on the bobbins (4) and install the bobbins (4) in the manifold (8) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-21-911-001).
   (3) Remove the blanking plugs.
   (4) Install the new AIPC 32-31-03-36-140 BACK-UP RINGS (5) or AIPC 32-31-83-36-130 BACK-UP RINGS (5) and the new AIPC 32-31-03-36-150 PACKINGS (6) or AIPC 32-31-83-36-140 PACKINGS (6) on the bobbins (4) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-21-911-001).
   (5) Put the safety valves (1) and (7) in position on the manifold (8).
NOTE: When you install the valves (1) and (7), you must not damage the packings (6).
   (6) Install the bolts (10) and the washers (9).
   (7) Install the bolts (11) and the washers (9).
   (8) TORQUE the bolts (10) and (11) to between 0.7 and 0.6 m.daN (61.95 and 53.10 lbf.in ) T.
   (9) Make a mark with Top Coat Polyurethane-- Decorative Furnishing (Material No.
04JMD9) on the bolts (10) and (11).

B. Preparation for Test
   (1) Connect the PTU isolation coupling (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-002).
   (2) If the flight configuration precautions were obeyed, put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-860-002).
   (3) Remove the container.
   (4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (5) Remove the access platform(s).
   (6) Close the left MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
   (7) If necessary fill the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system to the correct level (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001).

D. Test of the Valves and Manifold Assy
   (1) Do the operational test of the landing gear doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-31-00-710-002).
   (2) Do the functional test of the nose wheel steering (Ref. AMM TASK 32-51-00-720-003).
   (3) Open the left MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
   (4) Make sure that there is no hydraulic fluid leakage from the safety valves 2629GM and 2630GM.
5. Close-up

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Apply corrosion preventive compound to the heads of the bolts (10) and (11) and the adjacent area (Ref. AMM TASK 51-75-13-916-002).
   (3) Remove the access platform(s).
   (4) Close the left MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
   (5) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
