A. Safety Precautions
(1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
(2) Install the safety locks in position on the landing gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
(3) On the panel 400VU:

(2) Install the safety locks in position on the landing gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
(3) On the panel 400VU:
- Make sure that the landing-gear control lever 6GA is in the DOWN position
- Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear.
B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the cargo doors are closed (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002) or (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-004) or (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-009).
(2) Make sure that the electrical power is de-energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
(3) Make sure that the hydraulic power is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(4) Do the flight configuration precautions (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-860-001).
(5) Install a 98F32304000000 TARGET-FALSE on:
(a) The NLG extension proximity sensors 24GA and 25GA.
(b) The MLG extension proximity sensors:
Subtask 32-31-00-010-085-A (1) Make sure that the cargo doors are closed (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002) or (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-004) or (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-009).
(2) Make sure that the electrical power is de-energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
(3) Make sure that the hydraulic power is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(4) Do the flight configuration precautions (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-860-001).
(5) Install a 98F32304000000 TARGET-FALSE on:
(a) The NLG extension proximity sensors 24GA and 25GA.
(b) The MLG extension proximity sensors:
- For the LH MLG 21GA and 23GA
- For the RH MLG 20GA and 22GA.
C. Get Access
(1) Open the NLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-010-001).
(2) Make sure that a 98D32203502000 SAFETY PIN - NLG DOOR is installed in each NLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-002).
(3) Open the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(4) Make sure that a 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is installed on each MLG door actuating cylinder (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-002).
Subtask 32-31-00-865-137-A (1) Open the NLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-010-001).
(2) Make sure that a 98D32203502000 SAFETY PIN - NLG DOOR is installed in each NLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-002).
(3) Open the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(4) Make sure that a 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is installed on each MLG door actuating cylinder (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-002).

A. Get LGCIU1(2) Ground Scanning and Trouble Shooting Data pages from the MCDU
(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits with a GROUND POWER UNIT - ELECTRICAL (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002). You must not use the APU to do this.
(2) Get access to the System Report/Test/L/G page (Ref. AMM TASK 31-32-00-860-009).
(3) Get access to the Ground Scanning and Trouble Shooting Data pages as follows:
(4) If the message LGCIU 05GA1(2)/L/G SEL VALVE 40GA is shown, you must record the fault counter CNT on the TROUBLE SHOOTING DATA page.
(5) Do steps (2) thru (4) again for LGCIU2.
Subtask 32-31-00-710-066-B (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits with a GROUND POWER UNIT - ELECTRICAL (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002). You must not use the APU to do this.
(2) Get access to the System Report/Test/L/G page (Ref. AMM TASK 31-32-00-860-009).
(3) Get access to the Ground Scanning and Trouble Shooting Data pages as follows:

B. Operational Check of the L/G Selector Valve 40GA
Subtask 32-31-00-860-115-A NOTE: The hydraulic power must be depressurized before you do this test (view the ECAM HYDRAULIC page).

(2) Get access to the Ground Scanning and Trouble Shooting Data pages as follows:
(3) Do steps (1) and (2) again for LGCIU2.
(4) Compare these results with the results from para.4.A. steps (2) thru (5).
(5) If the message LGCIU 05GA1(2)/L/G SEL VALVE 40GA is not shown, it is possible the PFR was incorrect.
(6) If one of these two faults occur do TSM TASK 32-31-00-810-883 TSM 32-31-00-810-883:

(2) Get access to the Ground Scanning and Trouble Shooting Data pages as follows:

(2) Close the NLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-410-001).
