3. Job Set-up
Subtask 32-21-43-941-059-A

A. Safety Precautions
(1) Make sure that the safety devices are installed on the landing gears (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
(2) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position:

On center pedestal, on right center instrument panel 400VU, to tell persons not to operate the landing gear control-lever,
On the Nose Wheel Steering (N/WS) handwheels and the rudder pedals, to tell persons not to operate them.

B. Get Access
(1) Open the NLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-010-001).
(2) Make sure that the safety devices are correctly installed on the landing gear doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-002).
(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position adjacent to the NLG.

C. Flight Configuration Precautions
(1) If the electrical power is not necessary for other maintenance tasks, make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are de-energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002). Then, it is not necessary to operate the circuit breakers below.

(1) If the electrical power is necessary for other maintenance tasks, obey the precautions for flight configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-860-001) after you open the circuit breakers.

4. Procedure
Subtask 32-21-43-020-055-A

A. Removal of Upper Harness 1M

WARNING: FOR SAFETY STAND AFT OF THE GEAR LEG WHEN YOU OPERATE THE GROUND OPENING CONTROL OF THE DOOR. CAREFULLY READ THE PLACARD ON THE LEG DOOR BEFORE YOU OPEN THE NOSE GEAR DOORS.

(1) Put the CAP - BLANKING on the electrical connectors while you disconnect them.
(2) Disconnect the electrical connector (24GAA) (76) from system 1 NLG external-proximity-sensor (24GA) (77).
(3) Remove the screw (72), washer (73) and clamp (74) from the bracket (75).
(4) Disconnect the electrical connector (3LC1A) (70) from left runway-turnoff-light (3LC1) (71).
(5) Remove the screw (63) and the washer (64) from the bracket (62).
(6) Remove the nut (65), screw (69), washers (68) and (66) and transition box (67) from the bracket (62).
(7) Disconnect the electrical connector (3GCA) (61) from control-channel nose-wheel-steering feedback-sensor (3GC) (60).
(8) Remove the nut (22), screw (23) and clamp (21) from the bracket (29).
(9) Remove the nut (20) and the screw (26) from the bracket (29).
(10) Remove the nut (24), screw (28), washer (25) and transition box (27) from the bracket (29).
(11) Disconnect the electrical connector (7LRA) (50) from the connector on take off light (7LR) (52).
(12) Remove the screw (55), washer (54) and clamp (53) from the support (51).
(13) Remove the screw (35), washer (34) and clamp (33) from the bracket (39).
(14) Remove the nut (36), screw (30), washer (37), clamps (31) and (38) and strut (32) from the bracket (39).
(15) Disconnect the electrical connector (18GAA) (41) from system 1 NLG downlock-proximity-sensor (18GA) on the bracket (40).
(16) Remove the nut (46), screw (42), washer (45) and clamps (43) and (44) from the bracket (47).
(17) Remove the nut (12), screw (17), washer (11) and clamp (18) from the bracket (19).
(18) Remove the screw (16), washer (15) and clamp (14) from the bracket (13).
(19) Cut, remove and discard the braid (116) from the grommet (115).
(20) Disconnect the electrical connector (1300VCA) (1) from the connector on aircraft interface (1300VC).
(21) Remove the nuts (6), washers (5), screws (2) and washers (3) to release the clamp (4) on the bracket (10).
(22) Remove upper harness 1M (117).
