Removal of the MLG Uplock Pin

A. Safety Precautions
(1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
(2) On panel 400VU:
(4) Make sure that the ground safety locks are installed on the landing gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
Subtask 32-11-11-860-069-A (1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
(2) On panel 400VU:
- Make sure that the landing-gear control-lever 6GA is in the DOWN position
- Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear or the main gear doors.
(4) Make sure that the ground safety locks are installed on the landing gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the Green and Yellow hydraulic systems are depressurized.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(2) Disconnect the isolation coupling of the PTU (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
Subtask 32-11-11-869-064-A (1) Make sure that the Green and Yellow hydraulic systems are depressurized.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(2) Disconnect the isolation coupling of the PTU (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
C. Flight Configuration Precautions
(1) If the electrical power is not necessary for other maintenance tasks, de-energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002). Then, it is not necessary to operate the LGCIU circuit breakers.
(2) If the electrical power is necessary, do the precautions for flight configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-860-001) before you open the LGCIU circuit breakers.
Subtask 32-11-11-865-063-A (1) If the electrical power is not necessary for other maintenance tasks, de-energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002). Then, it is not necessary to operate the LGCIU circuit breakers.
(2) If the electrical power is necessary, do the precautions for flight configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-860-001) before you open the LGCIU circuit breakers.

A. Removal of the MLG Uplock Pin
(1) Use the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC to remove the sealant from:
(3) Remove the nuts (5), the washers (4), the bolts (1) and the static discharge connector (2).
(4) Remove the uplock pin (3) from the MLG attachment lugs.
Subtask 32-11-11-020-067-D ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Use the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC to remove the sealant from:
- The interface of the uplock pin assembly and the MLG attachment lugs
- The shanks of the bolts (1)
- The shank of the static discharge connector (2)
- The washers (4).
(3) Remove the nuts (5), the washers (4), the bolts (1) and the static discharge connector (2).
(4) Remove the uplock pin (3) from the MLG attachment lugs.

(3) Remove the ground stud (4), the washer (5) and the ground stud bolt (7).
(4) Remove and discard the cotter pins (2) and (10) from the nuts (3) and (11).
(5) Remove the nut (3), the washer (1) and the bolt (8).
(6) Remove the nuts (11), the washers (12) and the bolts (9).
(7) Remove the uplock pin (6) from the MLG attachment lugs.
Subtask 32-11-11-020-067-E ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(1) Use the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC to remove the sealant from:- The area around the interface between the uplock pin (6) and the MLG attachment lugs
- The ends of the ground stud (4), the washer (5) and the head of the ground stud bolt (7)
- The ends of the nut (3), the washer (1) and the head of the bolt (8)
- The ends of the nuts (11), the washers (12) and the head of the bolts (9).
(3) Remove the ground stud (4), the washer (5) and the ground stud bolt (7).
(4) Remove and discard the cotter pins (2) and (10) from the nuts (3) and (11).
(5) Remove the nut (3), the washer (1) and the bolt (8).
(6) Remove the nuts (11), the washers (12) and the bolts (9).
(7) Remove the uplock pin (6) from the MLG attachment lugs.

(5) Remove the washers (1) and (12) and the bolts (8) and (9).
(6) Remove the uplock pin (6) from the MLG attachment lugs.

USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

(3) Remove the ground stud (4), the washer (5) and the ground stud bolt (7).
(4) Remove and discard the cotter pins (2) and (10) and the nuts (3) and (11).
(5) Remove the washers (1) and (12) and the bolts (8) and (9).
(6) Remove the uplock pin (6) from the MLG attachment lugs.
