A. Removal of the PFD CAPT (2WT1)
(2) Push in the two locking catches (4).
(3) If necessary, push up the handle (3) to decrease the load applied to the locking catches (4): the handle falls to the level of the studs.
(4) Slowly and continuously lower the handle (3) to the bottom section of the screen: at the same time, the unit (2) moves out from the panel by approximately 3 cm.
(5) Pull the handle (3) found at the removal point and disengage the unit (2).
(6) Remove the unit (2).
(7) Put the unit aside, and retain it to be installed as the last one of the six display units.
Subtask 31-63-22-020-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL NOTE: IF THE OPERATOR TAKES ADVANTAGE OF A SCHEDULED REMOVAL TO PROCEED TO THE SWAPPING PROCEDURE IT IS POSIBLE TO START FROM ANY OTHER DU THAN THE PFD CAPT PROVIDED THE SWAPPING IS ACHIEVED IN THE SAME DIRECTION (FOR EXAMPLE THE DUs MOVING COUNTERCLOCKWISE AS MENTIONNED)
(1) Remove the thermoformed cover from the CAPT main instrument panel. (2) Push in the two locking catches (4).
(3) If necessary, push up the handle (3) to decrease the load applied to the locking catches (4): the handle falls to the level of the studs.
(4) Slowly and continuously lower the handle (3) to the bottom section of the screen: at the same time, the unit (2) moves out from the panel by approximately 3 cm.
(5) Pull the handle (3) found at the removal point and disengage the unit (2).
(6) Remove the unit (2).
(7) Put the unit aside, and retain it to be installed as the last one of the six display units.
B. Removal of the ND CAPT (3WT1)
(1) Push in the two locking catches (4).
(2) If necessary, push up the handle (3) to decrease the load applied to the locking catches (4): the handle falls to the level of the studs.
(3) Slowly and continuously lower the handle (3) to the bottom section of the screen: at the same time, the unit (2) moves out from the panel by approximately 3 cm.
(4) Pull the handle (3) found at the removal point and disengage the unit (2).
(5) Remove the unit (2).

C. Installation of the ND CAPT in place of the PFD CAPT
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) In the housing (8), make sure that:
(5) Install the unit (2) in the panel opening previously fitted with the PFD just removed.
Fully move down the handle (3) to the bottom of the screen.
(6) Push the unit until the locking studs (5) touch the movable locking hooks (at this time, the face of the unit must be out of the panel by approximately 3 cm).
(7) Push the two sides of the unit (2) to connect the electrical connector (1). Let the handle (3) move up freely until it is at the level of the locking catches (4) (the unit is now in line with the panel).
(8) Slowly and continuously move the handle (3) to its maximum position. In this position the two locking catches (4) are locked under the handle (3).
Subtask 31-63-22-020-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) In the housing (8), make sure that:
- the ventilation air inlet (7) is in the correct condition (flexible seal installed and duct not blocked)
- the locking studs (5) and the movable locking hooks (6) are not damaged.
(5) Install the unit (2) in the panel opening previously fitted with the PFD just removed.
Fully move down the handle (3) to the bottom of the screen.
(6) Push the unit until the locking studs (5) touch the movable locking hooks (at this time, the face of the unit must be out of the panel by approximately 3 cm).
(7) Push the two sides of the unit (2) to connect the electrical connector (1). Let the handle (3) move up freely until it is at the level of the locking catches (4) (the unit is now in line with the panel).
(8) Slowly and continuously move the handle (3) to its maximum position. In this position the two locking catches (4) are locked under the handle (3).
D. Removal of the upper ECAM DU (4WT1)
(1) Remove the thermoformed cover from the center instrument panel.
(2) Push in the two locking catches (4).
(3) If necessary, push up the handle (3) to decrease the load applied to the locking catches (4): the handle falls to the level of the studs.
(4) Slowly and continuously lower the handle (3) to the bottom section of the screen: at the same time, the unit (2) moves out from the panel by approximately 3 cm.
(5) Pull the handle (3) found at the removal point and disengage the unit (2).
(6) Remove the unit (2).
Subtask 31-63-22-420-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the thermoformed cover from the center instrument panel.
(2) Push in the two locking catches (4).
(3) If necessary, push up the handle (3) to decrease the load applied to the locking catches (4): the handle falls to the level of the studs.
(4) Slowly and continuously lower the handle (3) to the bottom section of the screen: at the same time, the unit (2) moves out from the panel by approximately 3 cm.
(5) Pull the handle (3) found at the removal point and disengage the unit (2).
(6) Remove the unit (2).
E. Installation of the upper ECAM DU in place of the ND CAPT
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) In the housing (8), make sure that:

Fully move down the handle (3) to the bottom of the screen.
(6) Push the unit until the locking studs (5) touch the movable locking hooks (at this time, the face of the unit must be out of the panel by approximately 3 cm).

- the ventilation air inlet (7) is in the correct condition (flexible seal installed and duct not blocked)
- the locking studs (5) and the movable locking hooks (6) are not damaged.
(5) Install the unit (2) in the panel opening previously fitted with the ND just removed.
Fully move down the handle (3) to the bottom of the screen.
(6) Push the unit until the locking studs (5) touch the movable locking hooks (at this time, the face of the unit must be out of the panel by approximately 3 cm).
(7) Push the two sides of the unit (2) to connect the electrical connector (1). Let the handle (3) move up freely until it is at the level of the locking catches (4) (the unit is now in line with the panel).
(8) Slowly and continuously move the handle (3) to its maximum position. In this position the two locking catches (4) are locked under the handle (3).
F. Removal of the ND F/0 (3WT2)
Remove the thermoformed cover from the F/O main instrument panel.
(1) Push in the two locking catches (4).
(2) If necessary, push up the handle (3) to decrease the load applied to the locking catches (4): the handle falls to the level of the studs.
(3) Slowly and continuously lower the handle (3) to the bottom section of the screen: at the same time, the unit (2) moves out from the panel by approximately 3 cm.
(4) Pull the handle (3) found at the removal point and disengage the unit (2).
(5) Remove the unit (2).
Subtask 31-63-22-420-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL Remove the thermoformed cover from the F/O main instrument panel.
(1) Push in the two locking catches (4).
(2) If necessary, push up the handle (3) to decrease the load applied to the locking catches (4): the handle falls to the level of the studs.
(3) Slowly and continuously lower the handle (3) to the bottom section of the screen: at the same time, the unit (2) moves out from the panel by approximately 3 cm.
(4) Pull the handle (3) found at the removal point and disengage the unit (2).
(5) Remove the unit (2).
G. Installation of the ND F/O in place of the upper ECAM DU
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) In the housing (8), make sure that:
(5) Install the unit (2) in the panel opening previously fitted with the upper ECAM DU just removed.
Fully move down the handle (3) to the bottom of the screen.
(6) Push the unit until the locking studs (5) touch the movable locking hooks (at this time, the face of the unit must be out of the panel by approximately 3 cm).
(7) Push the two sides of the unit (2) to connect the electrical connector (1). Let the handle (3) move up freely until it is at the level of the locking catches (4) (the unit is now in line with the panel).
(8) Slowly and continuously move the handle (3) to its maximum position. In this position the two locking catches (4) are locked under the handle (3).

Fully move down the handle (3) to the bottom of the screen.
(6) Push the unit until the locking studs (5) touch the movable locking hooks (at this time, the face of the unit must be out of the panel by approximately 3 cm).
(7) Push the two sides of the unit (2) to connect the electrical connector (1). Let the handle (3) move up freely until it is at the level of the locking catches (4) (the unit is now in line with the panel).
(8) Slowly and continuously move the handle (3) to its maximum position. In this position the two locking catches (4) are locked under the handle (3).
H. Removal of the PFD F/0 (2WT2)
(1) Push in the two locking catches (4).
(2) If necessary, push up the handle (3) to decrease the load applied to the locking catches (4): the handle falls to the level of the studs.
(3) Slowly and continuously lower the handle (3) to the bottom section of the screen: at the same time, the unit (2) moves out from the panel by approximately 3 cm.
(4) Pull the handle (3) found at the removal point and disengage the unit (2).
(5) Remove the unit (2).
Subtask 31-63-22-420-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Push in the two locking catches (4).
(2) If necessary, push up the handle (3) to decrease the load applied to the locking catches (4): the handle falls to the level of the studs.
(3) Slowly and continuously lower the handle (3) to the bottom section of the screen: at the same time, the unit (2) moves out from the panel by approximately 3 cm.
(4) Pull the handle (3) found at the removal point and disengage the unit (2).
(5) Remove the unit (2).
I. Installation of the PFD F/O in place of the ND F/O
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) In the housing (8), make sure that:

Fully move down the handle (3) to the bottom of the screen.
(6) Push the unit until the locking studs (5) touch the movable locking hooks (at this time, the face of the unit must be out of the panel by approximately 3 cm).
(7) Push the two sides of the unit (2) to connect the electrical connector (1). Let the handle (3) move up freely until it is at the level of the locking catches (4) (the unit is now in line with the panel).
(8) Slowly and continuously move the handle (3) to its maximum position. In this position the two locking catches (4) are locked under the handle (3).

(8) Slowly and continuously move the handle (3) to its maximum position. In this position the two locking catches (4) are locked under the handle (3).
J. Removal of the lower ECAM DU (4WT2)
(1) Push in the two locking catches (4).
(2) If necessary, push up the handle (3) to decrease the load applied to the locking catches (4): the handle falls to the level of the studs.
(3) Slowly and continuously lower the handle (3) to the bottom section of the screen: at the same time, the unit (2) moves out from the panel by approximately 3 cm.
(4) Pull the handle (3) found at the removal point and disengage the unit (2).
(5) Remove the unit (2).
Subtask 31-63-22-420-055-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Push in the two locking catches (4).
(2) If necessary, push up the handle (3) to decrease the load applied to the locking catches (4): the handle falls to the level of the studs.
(3) Slowly and continuously lower the handle (3) to the bottom section of the screen: at the same time, the unit (2) moves out from the panel by approximately 3 cm.
(4) Pull the handle (3) found at the removal point and disengage the unit (2).
(5) Remove the unit (2).
K. Installation of the lower ECAM DU in place of the PFD F/O
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) In the housing (8), make sure that:
(5) Install the unit (2) in the panel opening previously fitted with the PFD just removed.
Fully move down the handle (3) to the bottom of the screen.
(6) Push the unit until the locking studs (5) touch the movable locking hooks (at this time, the face of the unit must be out of the panel by approximately 3 cm).
(7) Push the two sides of the unit (2) to connect the electrical connector (1). Let the handle (3) move up freely until it is at the level of the locking catches (4) (the unit is now in line with the panel).
(8) Slowly and continuously move the handle (3) to its maximum position. In this position the two locking catches (4) are locked under the handle (3).
Subtask 31-63-22-420-056-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.

(8) Slowly and continuously move the handle (3) to its maximum position. In this position the two locking catches (4) are locked under the handle (3).
L. Installation of the remaining PFD CAPT in place of the lower ECAM DU
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) In the housing (8), make sure that:
(5) Install the unit (2) in the panel opening previously fitted with the just removed lower ECAM DU.
Fully move down the handle (3) to the bottom of the screen.
(6) Push the unit until the locking studs (5) touch the movable locking hooks (at this time, the face of the unit must be out of the panel by approximately 3 cm).
(7) Push the two sides of the unit (2) to connect the electrical connector (1). Let the handle (3) move up freely until it is at the level of the locking catches (4) (the unit is now in line with the panel).
(8) Slowly and continuously move the handle (3) to its maximum position. In this position the two locking catches (4) are locked under the handle (3).
Install the thermoformed cover on the CAPT main instrument panel.
Install the thermoformed cover on the F/O main instrument panel.
Install the thermoformed cover on the center instrument panel.
Subtask 31-63-22-865-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) In the housing (8), make sure that:
- the ventilation air inlet (7) is in the correct condition (flexible seal installed and duct not blocked)
- the locking studs (5) and the movable locking hooks (6) are not damaged.
(5) Install the unit (2) in the panel opening previously fitted with the just removed lower ECAM DU.
Fully move down the handle (3) to the bottom of the screen.
(6) Push the unit until the locking studs (5) touch the movable locking hooks (at this time, the face of the unit must be out of the panel by approximately 3 cm).
(7) Push the two sides of the unit (2) to connect the electrical connector (1). Let the handle (3) move up freely until it is at the level of the locking catches (4) (the unit is now in line with the panel).
(8) Slowly and continuously move the handle (3) to its maximum position. In this position the two locking catches (4) are locked under the handle (3).
Install the thermoformed cover on the CAPT main instrument panel.
Install the thermoformed cover on the F/O main instrument panel.
Install the thermoformed cover on the center instrument panel.
M. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the access door 811. (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-002)
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
