A. Removal of the Display Unit (DU)
(1) FOR [2WT1] (PFD-CAPT), [3WT1] (ND-CAPT)
Remove the thermoformed cover from the CAPT main instrument panel.
(a) FOR [2WT2] (PFD-F/O), [3WT2] (ND-F/O)
Remove the thermoformed cover from the F/O main instrument panel.
(b) FOR [4WT1] (DU-ECAM, UPPER), [4WT2] (DU-ECAM, LOWER)
Remove the thermoformed cover from the center instrument panel.
(2) Push in the two locking catches (4).
(3) If necessary, push up the handle (3) to decrease the load applied to the locking catches (4): the handle (3) falls to the level of the studs.
(4) Slowly and continuously lower the handle (3) to the bottom section of the screen : at the same time, the DU (2) moves out from the panel by approximately 3 cm.
(5) Pull the handle (3) found at the removal point and disengage the DU (2).
(6) Remove the DU (2).
(7) Put CAP - BLANKING on the electrical connectors (1).
(8) Put the DU (2) in the replacement unit container.

Remove the thermoformed cover from the CAPT main instrument panel.
(a) FOR [2WT2] (PFD-F/O), [3WT2] (ND-F/O)
Remove the thermoformed cover from the F/O main instrument panel.
(b) FOR [4WT1] (DU-ECAM, UPPER), [4WT2] (DU-ECAM, LOWER)
Remove the thermoformed cover from the center instrument panel.
(2) Push in the two locking catches (4).
(3) If necessary, push up the handle (3) to decrease the load applied to the locking catches (4): the handle (3) falls to the level of the studs.
(4) Slowly and continuously lower the handle (3) to the bottom section of the screen : at the same time, the DU (2) moves out from the panel by approximately 3 cm.
(5) Pull the handle (3) found at the removal point and disengage the DU (2).
(6) Remove the DU (2).
(7) Put CAP - BLANKING on the electrical connectors (1).
(8) Put the DU (2) in the replacement unit container.
