A. Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits from the external power is de-energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).

4. Procedure
Subtask 31-38-21-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Installation of the Data Loading Selector
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(4) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(5) Make sure that the housing of the data loading selector is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(6) Connect the electrical connector (1).
(7) Install the data loading selector (2) in its housing.
(8) Tighten the quarter-turn fasteners (3).

1.On the overhead panel, on the Data Loading Selector (DLS): Set the ON/OFF switch to ON.	On the DLS screen, the indication that follows is shown: DB/N: PUSH NEXT/PREV.
2.On the overhead panel, on the DLS: Push the PREV or NEXT pushbutton switch until you get the FMGC1 indication.	On the DLS screen, the indication that follows is shown: FMGC1 NOT SELECTED.
3.On the overhead panel, on the DLS: Push the SEL CTL pushbutton switch.	On the DLS screen, the indication that follows is shown: FMGC1 SELECTED.
4.On the overhead panel, on the DLS: Push the SEL CTL pushbutton switch.	On the DLS screen, the indication that follows is shown: FMGC1 NOT SELECTED.

ACTION	RESULT
1.On the overhead panel, on DATA LOADING panel 52VU: Loosen the two middle quick-release fasteners of the access cover and remove the access cover. Connect the cable to the ALT45200001 PORTABLE DATA LOADER or to the LOADER - DATA, PORTABLE and to the SYSTEMS data loader connector (2TD).
2.On the overhead panel, on the Data Loading Selector (DLS): Set the ON/OFF switch to ON.	On the DLS screen, the indication that follows is shown: DB/N: PUSH NEXT/PREV.
3.On the overhead panel, on the DLS: Push the PREV or NEXT pushbutton switch until you get the FMGC1 indication.	On the DLS screen, the indication that follows is shown: FMGC1 NOT SELECTED.
4.On the overhead panel, on the DLS: Push the SEL CTL pushbutton switch.	On the DLS screen, the indication that follows is shown: FMGC1 SELECTED.
5.On the overhead panel, on the DSL: Push the SEL CTL pushbutton switch.	On the DLS screen, the indication that follows is shown: FMGC1 NOT SELECTED.
6.On the overhead panel, on the DLS: Set the ON/OFF switch to OFF.
7.On the overhead panel, on DATA LOADING panel 52VU: Disconnect the cable from the ALT45200001 PORTABLE DATA LOADER or from the LOADER - DATA, PORTABLE and from the SYSTEMS data loader connector (2TD). Install the access cover and tighten the two middle quick-release fasteners.

1.On the center pedestal, on the DATA LOADING panel 117VU: Loosen the two middle quick-release fasteners of the access cover and remove the access cover. Connect the cable to the ALT45200001 PORTABLE DATA LOADER or to the LOADER - DATA, PORTABLE and to the DATA LOADER connector (2147VC).
2.On the overhead panel, on the Data Loading Selector (DLS): Set the ON/OFF switch to ON.	On the DLS screen, the indication that follows is shown: The DB/N: PUSH NEXT/PREV.
3.On the overhead panel, on the DLS: Push the PREV or NEXT pushbutton switch until you get the FMGC1 indication.	On the DLS screen, the indication that follows is shown: The FMGC1 NOT SELECTED.
4.On the overhead panel, on the DLS: Push the SEL CTL pushbutton switch.	On the DLS screen, the indication that follows is shown: The FMGC1 SELECTED.
5.On the overhead panel, on the DLS: Push the SEL CTL pushbutton switch.	On the DLS screen, the indication that follows is shown: The FMGC1 NOT SELECTED.
