Subtask 31-36-34-860-058-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position at the access door 824 in zone 128.
(2) Make sure that the access door 824 is open.
(3) Install the PCMCIA-Card(s) to the FDIMU (Ref. AMM TASK 31-36-00-400-001), if you have removed it(them) before.
Subtask 31-36-34-860-058-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position at the access door 824 in zone 128.
(2) Make sure that the access door 824 is open.
(3) Install the PCMCIA-Card(s) to the FDIMU (Ref. AMM TASK 31-36-00-400-001), if you have removed it(them) before.

Subtask 31-36-34-420-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the FDIMU.
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(3) Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors (2).
(4) Make sure that the electrical connectors (2) are clean and in the correct condition.
(5) Install the FDIMU (1) on its rack (3).
(6) Push the FDIMU (1) on its rack (3) to connect the electrical connectors (2).
(7) Engage the nuts (4) on the lugs (5) and tighten.
(8) Switch the ON/OFF switch to the ON position.
To do so:
(a) open the small door on the left of the front face, the one bearing the caution: "BEFORE INSTALLING SET INSIDE SWITCH TO ON". Push down the small handle and the door swivels open to show a hole in the upper part with a switch.
(b) Use one finger to set the switch to ON.
(c) Swivel back the door to its closed position.
Subtask 31-36-34-420-053-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Do the Loading of the FDIMU software
(1) Load the DFDR software of the FDIMU (Ref. AMM TASK 31-33-00-710-013)
(2) Load the AIDS software of the FDIMU (Ref. AMM TASK 31-36-00-710-013) or (Ref. AMM TASK 31-36-00-710-008).
Subtask 31-36-34-554-060-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Load the DFDR software of the FDIMU (Ref. AMM TASK 31-33-00-710-013)
(2) Load the AIDS software of the FDIMU (Ref. AMM TASK 31-36-00-710-013) or (Ref. AMM TASK 31-36-00-710-008).
D. Do the steps that follow
(1) Do the updating of APU hours and cycles data (Ref. AMM TASK 31-36-00-740-013) and of Engine hours and cycles data (Ref. AMM TASK 31-36-00-740-014) in the FDIMU
(2) Do the FDIMU programming procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 31-36-00-740-016).
Subtask 31-36-34-554-060-E ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Do the updating of APU hours and cycles data (Ref. AMM TASK 31-36-00-740-013) and of Engine hours and cycles data (Ref. AMM TASK 31-36-00-740-014) in the FDIMU
(2) Do the FDIMU programming procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 31-36-00-740-016).
NOTE: If the Programmable Report Inhibit and Programmable Report Limits procedures were done before with the GSE, it is not necessary to do them again.

NOTE: If the Programmable Report Inhibit and Programmable Report Limits procedures were done before with the GSE, it is not necessary to do them again.

NOTE: If the Programmable Report Inhibit and Programmable Report Limits were not modified manually (via MCDU) on the FDIMU to be removed, then only the loading of the FDIMU database is required after installing the new FDIMU.
F. Install the smart PCMCIA card (SPC) to the FDIMU (Ref. AMM TASK 31-36-00-400-805), if you have removed it before.

(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the access door 824. (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-002)
