C. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position in zone 128, at the access door 824.
(2) Open the access door 824.
(3) If PCMCIA-Card(s) is(are) installed on the FDIMU, remove it(them) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-36-00-000-001).
Subtask 31-36-34-550-057-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position in zone 128, at the access door 824.
(2) Open the access door 824.
(3) If PCMCIA-Card(s) is(are) installed on the FDIMU, remove it(them) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-36-00-000-001).
D. On the FDIMU front face, set the ON/OFF switch to OFF.
(1) To do so open the door, the one bearing the caution: "BEFORE INSTALLING SET INSIDE SWITCH TO ON". Push down the small handle and the door swivels open to show a hole in the upper part with a switch. Use one finger to set the switch to OFF.
(2) Swivel back the door to its closed position.

Subtask 31-36-34-020-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the FDIMU
(1) Loosen the nuts (4) on the front of the rack (3).
(2) Lower the nuts (4).
(3) Pull the FDIMU (1) on its rack (3) to disconnect the electrical connectors (2).
(4) Remove the FDIMU (1) from its rack (3).
(5) Put CAP - BLANKING on the disconnected electrical connectors (2).
(1) Loosen the nuts (4) on the front of the rack (3).
(2) Lower the nuts (4).
(3) Pull the FDIMU (1) on its rack (3) to disconnect the electrical connectors (2).
(4) Remove the FDIMU (1) from its rack (3).
(5) Put CAP - BLANKING on the disconnected electrical connectors (2).
