B. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position at the access door 824.
(2) Open the access door 824. (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-002)

C. Remove the DMU (Ref. AMM TASK 31-36-34-000-001).

A. Replacement of DMU Batteries

Replacement of the DMU Batteries ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

(1) Removal of the DMU batteries:

(a) Loosen the 2 captive screws on the battery housing cover on the rear panel of the unit.

(b) Remove the battery housing cover.

(c) Remove the batteries.

(2) Installation of the DMU batteries:

(a) Put the new batteries into the space provided in the rear of the unit. Make sure the polarity (+/-) is correct.

(b) Put the battery housing cover in the location provided on the rear of the unit.

(c) Attach the 2 captive screws on the battery housing cover.

5. Close-up

A. Install the DMU (Ref. AMM TASK 31-36-34-400-001).

B. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the access door 824. (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-002)
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
