NOTE: Before you update the APU hours and cycles, it is necessary to energize the ECB (C/B pushed and ground power switched on).

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (2) Make sure that the aircraft is in the Ground configuration (the landing gear is compressed and all the engines are stopped).
   (3) On overhead panel 25VU, push the APU MASTER SW button (the blue light indicator ON comes on).

  • The AIDS DMU PROGRAMMING page comes into view.
  • Enter the level 2 password with alphanumeric keys into the scratchpad.
  • An asterisk for each entered character shows on the scratchpad.
  • Push the line select key adjacent to the ENTER PASSWORD indication.
  • The color of the ENTER PASSWORD indication changes from blue into white and the asterisk goes out of view.

  • The new values takes over below the AHRS ACYC indication.
  • Push the line select key adjacent to the RETURN indication 3 times.

A. Update of the APU Hours and APU Cycles in the FDIMU

NOTE: There is an automatic update of the APU hours and APU cycles in the FDIMU for the installed APU. The replacement of the ECB has no effect on the offsets of the APU hours and cycles in the FDIMU which stay at the values stored in the FDIMU prior to ECB replacement.

A. Update of the APU Hours and Cycles in the FDIMU

NOTE: There is an automatic update of the APU hours and APU cycles in the FDIMU for the installed APU. The replacement of the APU and/or the ECB has no effect on the offsets of the APU hours and cycles in the FDIMU which stay at zero.
Make sure that the offsets of the APU hours and cycles in the FDIMU are zero after the replacement of the FDIMU.


   (1) Update of the APU Hours and Cycles in the FDIMU (SAGEM PN ED48A100).

  • Push the line select key adjacent to the numbers and asterisk below the AHRS ACYC indication (5R).
  • The new values come into view below the AHRS ACYC indication.
  • Push the line select key adjacent to the RETURN indication 3 times.
  • The AIDS page comes into view.
  • Push the MCDU mode key.
  • The MCDU MENU page comes into view.


   (2) Update of the APU Hours and Cycles in the FDIMU (TELEDYNE PN 2234320-01-01).
NOTE: This update is only applicable if you installed FDIMU PN 2234320-01-01 (refer to the IPC for the correct interchangeability).
