A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

B. Get Access
   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below access door 824.
   (2) Open access door 824 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-002).
   (3) For the location of the WGL-DAR, refer to paragraph Component Location (Ref. AMM D/O 31-36-00-00).

4. Procedure

A. Update of the Aircraft Tail Number in the WGL-DAR
ACTION
RESULT
On the WGL-DAR Front Panel:
On the WGL-DAR Display:
  • Push the MODE button.
  • SYSTEM STATE comes into view.
  • Push the + button again and again until the UNIT INFO message comes into view.
  • UNIT INFO comes into view.
  • Push the SEL button.
  • DATE!TIME comes into view.
  • Push the + button again and again until the UPDATE TAIL NUMBER message comes into view.
  • UPDATE
    TAIL NUMBER comes into view.
  • Push the SEL button to view the current tail number.
  • _ comes into view below the first character.
  • Push the + or - button to go to the character you want to change.
NOTE: If the Tail Number field is empty, the underscore flashes in the first position.
  • Push the SEL button to change the character.
  • A block cursor flashes on the character.
  • Push the + or - buttons to change the character that flashes.
  • The corrected character flashes.
  • Push the SEL button to update the character.
  • The character that follows flashes.
  • Do the last 2 steps again and again until the input of aircraft tail number is completed.
  • The position that follows the aircraft tail number flashes.
  • Select the <SPACE> character. Push the SEL button.
NOTE: All characters that follow the <SPACE> character are erased.
  • + CONFIRM UPDATE
    - DISCARD UPDATE comes into view.
  • Push the + button. This will validate the tail number change.
  • UNIT NOW
    WILL REBOOT.
NOTE: The reboot procedure is completed in approximately 5 minutes. After reboot, the WGL-DAR is prepared for operation with the new tail number.
If you want to discard the changes, after reboot press the - button.
5. Close-up

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Close access door 824 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-002).
   (3) Remove the access platform(s).

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
