A. Downloading Procedure of the DMU Data to a PCMCIA Card
(2) Install the PCMCIA card with the related configuration files into the interface until the card is flush with the EXIT pushbutton (Ref. AMM TASK 31-36-00-400-001).
(4) Make sure that the green LED goes off.
Subtask 31-36-00-710-087-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL NOTE: This procedure is only applicable to the stored AIDS/Smart Access Recorder (SAR) in non-volatile Solid-State Mass Memory (SSMM). SAR channels 1 to 8 are stored in the SSMM. SAR channels 9 to 16 are not stored in the SSMM. For the DFDR-data recording procedure, the PCMCIA card stays installed during the flight.
NOTE: To download DMU data to a PCMCIA-CARD, it is necessary to format the PCMCIA card. Speak to the vendor to get the configuration files necessary for the PCMCIA card. Or speak to the vendor to get the programming software (GSE) to format the PCMCIA card sufficient.
(1) On the FDIMU/DMU open the flap to the PCMCIA interface and make sure that the two LEDs are off. (2) Install the PCMCIA card with the related configuration files into the interface until the card is flush with the EXIT pushbutton (Ref. AMM TASK 31-36-00-400-001).
NOTE: The green LED flashes while the loading process continues. If the loading process is correct, the green LED stays on. If the loading process is not correct, the green LED goes off and the amber LED comes on.
(3) If the green LED stays on, push the EXIT button to remove the PCMCIA card. (4) Make sure that the green LED goes off.
