A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
NOTE: For the download procedure, a 1,44 MB formatted 3,5 inch disk is necessary. You must prepare this disk on a Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Application Software. Refer to the software vendor documentation.
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (2) Make sure that the DISK-DATA is not write-protected.

C. Installation of the Portable Data Loader
   (1) On the overhead panel, on the DATA LOADING panel 52VU:
     (a) Loosen the two middle quick-release fasteners of the access cover and remove it.
     (b) Connect the cable to the ALT45200001 PORTABLE DATA LOADER or LOADER - DATA, PORTABLE and to the SYSTEMS data loader connector (2TD).

D. Start the Portable Data Loader
   (1) Start the ALT45200001 PORTABLE DATA LOADER or LOADER - DATA, PORTABLE (Refer to the portable data-loader user-guide).

A. Dump Procedure to Download FDIMU Data with PDL
NOTE: If the PDL has the digital signature check, the PDL can trigger two messages:
  • When the software has no signature (refer to the PDL user-guide), this message has no effect on the A/C software upload and you can ignore it
  • When the signature is incorrect or corrupted (refer to the PDL user-guide), the software upload is not and it is necessary to use other software.
As a data security precaution, Airbus recommends that the user does a report of the fault to his Aircraft Security Focal Point.
ACTION
RESULT
1.On the overhead panel, on the Data Loading Selector:
On the Data Loading Selector display:
  • Put the data loading selector ON/OFF switch to the ON.
  • The DB/N:XXXXXXXX and PUSH NEXT/PREV indications show.
  • Push NEXT or PREV key until the ACMS NOT SELECTED indication shows on the display.
  • The ACMS NOT SELECTED indication shows.
  • Push the SEL CTL key.
  • The ACMS SELECTED indication shows.
2.On the Portable Data Loader (PDL):
  • Download data from the FDIMU (Refer to the portable data-loader user-guide).

3.On the Data Loading Selector
On the Data Loading Selector display:
  • Push the SEL CTL key.
  • The AIDS NOT SELECTED indication shows.
  • Set the ON/OFF switch to OFF.

B. Stop the Portable Data Loader
   (1) Stop the ALT45200001 PORTABLE DATA LOADER or LOADER - DATA, PORTABLE (Refer to the portable data-loader user-guide).

C. Removal of the Portable Data Loader
   (1) On the overhead panel, on the DATA LOADING panel 52VU:
     (a) Disconnect the cable from the ALT45200001 PORTABLE DATA LOADER or LOADER - DATA, PORTABLE and from the SYSTEMS data loader connector (2TD).
     (b) Install the access cover and tighten the two middle quick-release fasteners.
5. Close-up

   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
